I'm right there with you, friend. I actually try to keep up sometimes, but I inevitably get distracted by something weird and shiny and end up with 60 hours in something like Invisble Inc. or Sunless Sea. Which isn't a bad return on investment, but it doesn't help with the backlog. It's a cruel joke that you can

I'm sorry it took me this long to get to Nier, okay? It's hard with all these massive games being released within a few weeks of each other, and I have less time for games than I ever have. I never even got to finish FFXV or MGSV! I'm hoping I can finally catch up this summer.

Mainly Nier: Automata, which I'm working through slowly. I'm about 12 hours in and it still feels like I'm in the beginning chunk of the game. I've been using it to unwind after work lately; the combat and environments, and especially the music, are good enough that I enjoy grinding or even just running around in it.

I just got The Witcher 3 for PC, so I'll probably jump into a second playthrough at some point. It surprises me how much I want to go back to that world.

Welp, I'm hopefully finishing up Torment: Tides of Numenera, which I think I'm very close to the end of. I ended up enjoying it a lot, despite not being sure what to expect and never having played Planescape (I'll probably pick up the Enhanced Edition of that next month). I started out mostly Gold/Blue, doing the

The Last Guardian was really effective at points (Trico is just an amazing creation), but bad signposting really hurt it for me. There were times when I just had no idea what the game wanted from me, and got progressively more frustrated with it as I tried wrong solution after wrong solution.

I was thinking of picking up Linelight. Is it something you can jump in and out of easily, or is more… I don't know, campaign-y?

If she likes horror movies, she'll almost certainly love Until Dawn. It's custom-made for fans of the genre. It's a great game to play with others, as well.

I've always loved Twilight Princess and I've gotten used to defending it, even if I can see some of it's flaws. There's something really interesting about that world, kind of similar to the post-Ganon Hyrule from Ocarina of Time, but quieter and more resigned. Almost all of the dungeons are brilliant, too.

I've tried multiple times to get all the way through Divinity, but it's just such a big game and I'm such a completionist that every time it ends with me in cave methodically collecting every mushroom. Does it manage to keep up such a high level of quality throughout the whole thing? I think I got nearly halfway

I burnt out on my second play-through after the Conservatory (which might be my favorite mission, too). I totally love it, but it's also a black hole where all of my free time goes to die. I do wanna get back to it at some point, though, if only to do a third play-through with both Emily and Corvo's powers.

INSIDE is so good. I was sort of on the fence about it until the end, and then I was totally over the moon about it. I love how it just barrels through your misconceptions about what it's doing, and purposefully leaves you with so many questions.

I'm playing Fire Emblem Heroes and I honestly have no idea what's going on at all. It feels like I missed a tutorial where all of the non-combat mechanics were explained. Stamina? Shards and crystals? Arena duels? I legitimately do not know what any of these things are. I'm having fun just sort of jumping around and

2016 has been the most miserable year in my memory, but I'm young. I was too young to grasp the significance of 9/11 (though I don't think anyone could predict the full scope of it at the time), and the financial crisis had very little effect on me personally. Over the past decade I'd slowly been developing a sense of

I'm noticing that, too. Slowpoke's entire entry is about making a soup out of its tail.

I name all mine too! It's mostly off the top of my head, but I save a few names (mostly the names of pets I've had) for pokemon I know I'll be using a lot. I named my Popplio Vivi: originally I was going to gender-bend him and name him Vivienne, but I got as far as Vivi and liked how it sounded, so I just stopped

I'm about halfway through Dishonored 2, and I just started Pokemon Moon.

I think I'm just a little bit behind you. I'm halfway through the conservatory mission, which, yeah, is great. Finally getting into the conservatory and realizing that something's a bit off, and then seeing the actual environment, was pretty cool.

Yeah, right now feels like the ideal time to be playing a Pokemon game. Dishonored 2 is a good distraction from the real world, but the tone is too grim and the plot is too political to make for good escapism. I'm looking forward to spending a good chunk of next week in a world where the nothing is scary and the
