Now that I think about it, it's more surprising that she hasn't been on Fargo already.

I get really frustrated with Katya for getting so caught up in her head (says the person with severe anxiety) and flubbing what should be great runways. I swear, if the her transformation this week had been more dramatic she could have easily been in the top.
Conversely, I gained a new level of respect for Alyssa for going against the grain and saving the girl who she thought deserved to be there more, consequences be damned.
-Though I agree that Alyssa was pretty weak this episode and probably deserved to go home, it kills me that she had to leave before Roxxy, who has absolutely nothing left to offer this season. She's fallen into the Dida Ritz "so safe and mediocre that everyone forgets she's even still there"-role that pops up every…
Yes! If I'm remembering correctly Upper Hengsha and Montreal were both supposed to be hubs. I was really disappointed to see the same thing happen again in MD.
The rumor is that Eidos Montreal were originally building a much bigger game, with multiple hubs, but Square Enix had them split each hub off into its own game. Kind of similar to how they're episodically releasing the new Hitman, but sleazier. If it's true, I imagine we won't have to wait very long to hear about the…
Man, I can't remember the last time I was so disappointed by a game while still enjoying it so much. Human Revolution was one of my favorite games of the past few years, and I was hoping Mankind Divided would use that game as a foundation for something really special. Which just isn't the case at all. Its handling of…
The big issue I had with Season Two, especially the later episodes, is that the character motivations didn't ring true to me.
I'm willing to give them a pass on casting Garfield, assuming their statement about the character originally being conceived as someone beginning to question their gender identity, rather than someone in the process of transitioning, is true. It's other parts of the video, along with some of the comments about its…
I mostly meant that all of Alana's storylines have been about how she relates to a male character. Jack may not have always made the smartest decisions, but I feel like he's pretty well-defined at this point. If the end of his arc is him bleeding out in Hannibal's pantry, trying to call Bella, I think I could live…
I'm mostly convinced that Abigail dies and Will lives. Beyond that, I don't feel comfortable guessing. Though I really do hope Alana lives, since she's always gotten the short end of the stick in the show and it would be nice to see that change.
As happy as I am to see Kate Walsh getting work (in a comedy, even!), holy shit that trailer was awful.
Well Fuller chose one hell of an episode to drop the collapsing church line (pun not intended). That scene between Will and Margot got me so excited for a third season. It'll be an bonafide tragedy is the show is cancelled before it gets a chance to explore that particular dynamic.
Since Dark Souls II came out for PC today, probably that. I've also been replaying FFXII, though I can feel myself slowly losing interest. I've enjoyed it, but it feels a lot more slowly paced than I remember, which doesn't really mesh well with the fact that it's so long. And just to add to the giant RPG slog that is…
This might have been my favorite episode of the season, though Behind the Red Door is stiff competition. I thought of Mad Men while I was watching this, too, and not just for the period detail. Both shows are great at portraying tragedy in slow motion, and this episode really excelled at that. Seeing Phillip change…
Leonard Cohen. I don't know very much about his life, but he's one of the few artists whose work I feel deeply connected to on a personal level. His early work was a revelation for me as a teenager, and as I get older more and more of his music seems relevant to me. New Skin for the Old Ceremony in particular only…
My final opinion is that I have no idea what actually happened. It's too long after the fact, there isn't much clear evidence either way, and the story is too muddled at this point to be able to extract anything meaningful.
I'm one of the 3 ¼ people who liked the movie! Can we be friends?
I really dislike this movie, and I say that as someone who thinks most of Haneke's other work is at least interesting. This is basically just two hours of Haneke angrily masturbating into a camera and then yelling at you for watching.
After the veal comment I don't think there's any doubt that she knows what Hannibal is. Her backstory is so vague at this point that it's anyone's guess as to when she figured it out, but I'd put money on the turning point being when her patient attacked her.
