After reading my first PKD novel, I next picked up The Warlord of the Air just so I could crack a joke about needing Moorcock after finally tasting Dick.

It aired entirely in 2016, so it seems natural that Twitter chatter would have fallen off in 2017.

All I really want out of this show, and life in general, is the return of bad-ass, single-handedly-wiping-out-Terminus Carol. I will forgive SO MUCH if I get that by the season finale.

The difference there is agency. When a teen girl chooses a sexualized image for herself (and whether she should is a separate conversation), that is different than that being done to her by external forces. Being a willing participant is different than being an object.
