This looks fantastic.  If anything I’m always a big fan of supporting unique ideas in gaming, I hope the game ends up good as well!

As far as smaller, indie titles Xbox has Cuphead, Ori and The Blind Forest that stick out to me.  Otherwise yeah, Sony and Nintendo definitely seem to give more smaller games the money and spotlight they deserve.

I subscribe to this frame of mind as well!  There’s just soooo many good games out there these days that there’s really no point in wasting your time on one you don’t really like just to say you beat the game.  Just stop, sell it if you want, and move on to another game!  It’s so freeing playing games this way.

I like how condescending the first line is.  Just because it’s not a fad anymore doesn’t mean a bunch of people stopped playing.. I mean sure 800 million people aren’t playing anymore but there’s still a metric shitton that do.

I’ve tried replaying this game multiple times throughout the years, being a huge Disneyland fan. I completely agree with your statement, this game just has sooooo much potential that is unrealized.

So you bitch about the puzzles, then say there aren’t any? Which one is it? I found the tombs to be super fun personally. They weren’t super hard puzzles but they were fun to figure out regardless.

I’ll give you that uncharted has horrible bullet sponges, but I completely disagree that Tomb Raider does. You can stealth one-shot headshot almost any enemy in the game...

I’m gonna try and finish up Hob (Which is a pretty good zeldaish game!), probably play some Dead By Daylight matches, and continue my journey through Johto in Pokemon Crystal :)

Can I just say how awesome it was to hear the crowd go that silent too? The announcers were obsessed with talking about how rowdy the Jets fans are and it was so so sweet to make them eat their words.

It makes up for the abosolute BS no call that happened later in the game that would have likely been a VGK goal. So it all evens out in the end.

I think the difference for me is that I just trust Retro to make a damn good game, as they haven’t let me down yet. I agree with you in that it’ll likely be a Mario + Rabbids thing and some people will warm up to it and realize it’s a good game.

I’m with you. Retro is just a good studio that hasn’t made a bad game and I bet this game turns out way better than people expect. I’m sure a lot will still bitch about it though, which is too bad.

I mean, that’s kind of how everyone reacted to Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and that ended up being one of the best platformers ever... I’m pretty hyped for this. Diddy Kong Racing was my jam.
