I think you see what you want to see in the movie. My Girlfriend loves this movie for some reason. I was personally too distracted by the over use of green screen to care.

Good work Warner Brothers you are talking me out of seeing this movie in theater. Show me so much of the plot in commercials and trailers then after critics pan the movie immediately start telling the public that a better of the version will be out soon. Seriously fire your marketing department.

As someone who has read the books I feel like Lynch shouldn't have pissed me off in the opening seconds of the movie. He takes the mythology and history that is in the books and throws it under a bus in the opening intro.

I'm going to risk possibly upsetting people but I love Sid Meier's Pirates but have to recognize that many of the minigames within the game are terrible and even the "good' game mechanics are fairly basic. It's one of those games that some how succeeds because it tries everything. Ballroom dancing anyone?

I felt the Trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies fit well with this movie. It's more inline with a better produced Abraham Lincoln Vampire hunter than it is as a true retelling of Frankenstein. More Half Comedy than drama or horror tale.
