.....What if we have a story involving a current Deadspin writer?

To be fair, Gambit hasn’t appeared in an X-Men movie for over 7 years (and counting).

Not gonna at all deny the shitshow that is DC/WB. But it is worth noting that specifically with the “filmmaker’s first” approach, it is a bit of a change from Marvel, if in intention/spirit rather than in execution.

I don’t know anything about Pierce, and I don’t know enough about the special access that Barnwell gets as a result of working for ESPN, but as for Lowe — I think it likely had to do with a desire for the stability/resources that ESPN has to offer. Lowe seems to genuinely love the work he does, and going with Simmons

I dunno — Rush was a pretty great movie, and he was solid in it. I think, as always, that the issue is the script/direction.

No, he did not confirm that. He said it in a “Sure, I guess?” joking tone, and everyone jumped on it. He has since clarified said comments.

Yep. Mueller should also be pretty ashamed of himself - he inside-footed it as lightly as he could into the goal. Absolutely zero respect for Buffon.

Don’t sleep on the Knicks going after Pau Gasol or Joakim Noah, either. Not likely that the Bulls keep either of them after trading Rose.

I like to imagine that she’s Van Helsing’s daughter. He was an old man prior to his cameo/death in S1, after all.

What’s even more hilarious in retrospect is the fact that the entire episode was Batman making fun of how much of a moron Killer Croc is. Such a great show.

Honestly, I’d say the first one was worse. I mean, I enjoyed both of them — fun, stylistic action/thriller movies — but as you said, no mystery. Like, did anyone seriously think that Mark Strong’s character — who had been ALL over the marketing, and had the classic, menacing villain appeal — was actually dead 2

Gotta start pinching pennies in order to meet Hulk Hogan’s demands...

It wasn’t ShotSeeker — it was earlier this season, the first or second episode, that Finch calls it a “her” for the first time (Root even calls him out on it).

I was wary of it the entire time — I was pretty sure it would be a simulation, because I thought Shaw’s consciousness “flashes” were like glitches in a simulation. I actually didn’t pick up on the apartment thing, but I was sure the moment that Greer was picked up so easily and Finch behaved so...dumbly, with regards

Eh, she’s a pretty limited actress. The show does a good job of playing to her strengths and covering up her weaknesses.

Don’t sleep on Kanter. He played solid D (not amazing, but certainly playable) in big minutes against Aldridge in the Spurs series.

As happy as I am that it’s getting a second season (and on a network that might enable more crossovers!), I’m really worried about a drop in quality. Will the effects look even cheaper than before? Will they be able to keep Calista Flockhart? Will sharing the production with a creative team that’s already doing 3

I don’t think Conley would really want to join that dysfunction; he’s probably looking to join a contender. But hey, I have no idea how deep his bond with Joerger runs!

I didn’t think that about Cheadle, but man, RDJ looked old. He didn’t seem to be in particularly great shape (in terms of fitness), either.

I think the only difference is the quality of the mercurial superstars on each team. Harden’s shown he can drag a team into the playoffs, while the jury’s still out on Boogie.
