I thought RC Buford was the Spurs' GM?
I thought RC Buford was the Spurs' GM?
I asked my five year old who is not remotely affected by irrational brand bias and who adores cars. He said "Cool!!" and "Awesome!!" That was to both cars.
Fucking finally, someone else said it. I think the GT looks like a mold of plastic that's been strategically cut in too many odd places. The NSX is the definite winner for me.
He's not, the GT is ugly.
Tthe Ford GT is a concept car. Close to production, sure, but still a concept. It is also less pretty than offerings from Jaguar, Aston, and Alfa so pull your pants back up and let some blood flow up to your brain.
No love for the NSX? I actually thought that it looked pretty amazing. While I agree it took them longer than everyone would have liked we're holding them to a movie car from 2010 instead of the actual concept that was shown this time 3 years ago. I for one am impressed they are packing so much content into a…
TCU would have beat em both.
Thank you. It's something that frustrates me about this site — the groupthink and the cliques that orchestrate it. You're not rewarded for substantive discussion points on this site. You're rewarded for snarky comments. If you can irrationally dismiss a car in ten words, try to do it in five. Then bask in the hundreds…
The jalopnik moron-hive-mind has determined that it's not "good enough" for them and so of course cannot think critically about a car that's going to out-perform most things out there for 150k and look damn good doing it.
Your first line is literally the most perfect thing that's ever been said on this site. And it's so nauseating. You cannot have a fucking original thought here, otherwise you're branded as a douche/brand-whore/snob/elitist/"not-a-real-enthusiast"/moron/idiot/show-off/insert one.
I concur heavily with this.
I understand that it has been teased for a while, but it has a twin turbo V6 and three electric motors. I'd assume at least 450hp for the V6 if not more, and a combined output well over 600hp. 600hp with all wheel drive sounds pretty good. I think this will be a pretty formidable car. Torque vectoring and all that…
It's classic Jalopnik groupthink. Someone comes up with the catchy narrative and everyone repeats it ad nauseam.
After reading the comments it seems like no one really knows or understands how the powertrain and drivetrain works. For 150k the NSX is quite a car.
Is it just cool to hate on Acura and the new NSX right now? I honestly don't see anything wrong with the car except for the column of PRND buttons down the center. Other than that, this looks like a pretty decent exotic
How is the GT a better new car? There's not much about it that's technologically advanced or anything from an Engineering Standpoint that's really advanced about it.. It's just another 150k supercar.. NSX is the only supercar under 700k that has both the electric and otto cycle drivetrain combined WITH torque…
So I'm the only one who thinks the Ford GT is over-designed compared to the sublime mid-2000s GT? And why is there so much hate for this car? I get it's been in development for a long time but that's Honda...it's going to be a rock-solid product now. They will be built-well, be very high-tech, have great resale value,…
A lot of times we look at old concepts and say, "they should/could release this today and it would still look fresh and I'd buy it." Well, Honda pretty much did just that and everyone's complaining. I actually think it looks great. It's no Ford GT and that's a problem to people like us who are paying attention and…
He's not asking what it's for in general, he's asking what it would have been used for in 1995 when the car came out.
