Are you capable of having a conversation without belittling others?

Maybe showcase why each side actually claims to believe what it does?”

Tired? It’s just starting to get good. Besides, his supporters don’t give a shit about facts and nuance. So take the funny pot shot at the ammatuer hour crap the adminstration is up to.

Found the Trump defender.

This line: “you may not like the man but...”

But what? I hate his fucking guts, he hates my fucking guts and you can go cry into your kleenex if that bothers you.

There is far more to the tariffs than just manufacturing jobs. It is also about fair trade practices in China, that is, not stealing IP, Not funding private R&D with government money and not manipulating the currency to give domestic companies an advantage.

Sounds like you take things to seriously.

So, it sounds like you want the exemption to just be for yourself and your minor issue and not apply to the multitude of coal-rolling-type scumbags who would take advantage of lack of enforcement. I went to school in inspection-less Detroit and I came back to MA a huge supporter of state inspection in spite having to

There is a balance to everything and somethings are going too far. Example - banning aftermarket parts/tunes for diesels sold as for off-road use. We already have emissions controls in place should people use them on the street. Making it illegal to make a race car for example that has zero impact in the grand scheme

Well said. Trump, as a Republican, should be in favor of minimal government intrusion in the free market. Instead, he wants to use government intervention to prop up a local industry whose time has passed, at least in its current incarnation.

I’d like to think that people would be smart enough to know that cars and politics have always been (and always will be) intertwined, but I doubt it.

If he could make a policy and stick with it, it would be easier to digest. However, he loses all his credibility when he goes on a Twitter rant, claiming he’s going to penalize Amazon/Boeing/GM/Ford/Harley or whoever, which impacts their stock, then does NOTHING.

Yes, because there’s no business case for building a Tundra anywhere else. The Tundra is a North America-exclusive model, in a market segment that is extremely popular in North America and literally nowhere else. They are going to build the trucks in North America - and trucks are spread around the continent, chicken

The air is cleaner BECAUSE we have emissions controls.

Cooomma, comma, comma, comma, comma chameleon....

They are inextricably linked. Always have been, always will be.

ha, this is key. The iron law of humanity is that rules are for other people

In Ohio, if the posted speed limit is under 55mph, you can go 5 mph over without getting points on your license. If it’s 55mph or faster, it becomes 10mph before you get points on your license, so they’re pretty much asking you to speed.

It’s gotta be the #1 answer on the board. It would be nice to make my own judgement call on what a safe speed is.

Wait, you don’t ignore them already?   I just figure there is an extra tax I get every now and then when I drive.
