Which countertop car-parts toy is more fun: the Lucas gear oil crank or the worn vs new shock display with the attached pull levers?

Lucas Oil! but that’s a dangerously deceptive model. I thought it was cool shit too and used it when i was young. Then i got an education. Don’t use that stuff unless you’re engine is so worn its burning oil.
I prefer the philosophical teachings of Montyous of Python who said “Life is just one big, dick joke”
Oh, bullshit.
I care about “climate whatever”. I don’t live in the woods and farm by hand. I drive my old internal-combustion powered car to work every day. According to the EPA’s carbon footprint calculator, my family has just 30% the carbon footprint of the average American family, and we don’t want for anything.…
I agree, but increased prices lead to decreased sales in most cases. It isn’t perfect at all.
Im not sure if you realize but republicans pay lip service to disliking the debt yet their policies raise the debt more than the democrat policies. Clinton had policies that would have reduced the deficit and thus slowed the debt. Trump has policies that will massively increase the deficit. Tax break adding 5T to…
You’re right in the fact that Toyota does not rely on large vehicles for their profit. No, they merely rely on using the same, tired old platforms, engines, and transmissions for two decades, putting little into R&D, and demanding a high price for essentially the same thing they sold to you in the last 3-4 vehicle…
“And if you are a millionaire or billionaire, you get all sorts of unearned tax breaks an perks.”
This is true in theory. I had expected it to get to that point and then the gov letting folks off with a slap as long as the OEM’s said they would try harder. It would also depend on how many OEM’s failed to meet the number. If it was just one, then yea fines, but if they all missed? I don’t think they would follow…
It’s all a Reverse Robinhood. Steal from the poor and middle class so some guy has 158 million instead of 152 million. Meanwhile, 25 million people working full time making $18,000 a year now have $16,500. Going to be baaad for the economy...
Makes a lot of sense - sell your used iPhone for $400 to pay for $5000 per year insurance. Cut $400 million from public tv/radio to pay for a $22 billion dollar wall.
Maybe they should not be relying on Tahoe and Suburbans as their cash cows. Honda and VW do just fine without selling those kinds of behemoths. Toyota is the most profitable car company on earth- and they do not rely on full sized trucks and SUV’s to pay their bills neither.
I looked at it as more of a goal. Kind of like earnings reports, you don’t shoot low or people think you are sand bagging, you set it high and then get as close as you can and blame something stupid for not achiecving it. Look at elon musk, he hasn’t meet any real goals or turned a profit and Tesla is “more valuable”…
The funny thing is: Republicans are the ones leaving a legacy of debt for their offspring. Side-by-side, they outspend dems every time they are in office. This “17 trillion in debt” they try and attribute to Obama is almost totally the result of Republican leadership. GW and the GOP came into power with a budget…
That’s because one of those things is a real concern and the other is something dreamed up by corrupt people to slowly enslave all of us...
And only certain people get the free stuff. If you live in a big, square state, you get perks. And if you are a millionaire or billionaire, you get all sorts of unearned tax breaks an perks.
I have a somewhat different view, based on the article you cite: The target is completely achievable and realistic, with the major exception being the low fuel prices which led to unexpectedly large numbers of fuel consumption vehicles being sold.
Nah, you’re confused. No Republican is concerned about debt. If the were they wouldn’t be Republican, as no Republican since Eisenhower has done a damn thing to reduce the national debt. Republicans are only worried about people getting stuff for”free” and saying fuck it to the common good.
Most Republicans are concerned about leaving a legacy of debt for their children and grandchildren, but they don’t seem worried about leaving them a wrecked environment.
They have nothing to worry about, lighting doesn’t strike II
