I wished I watched your movie.
I wished I watched your movie.
At least you enjoyed it.
That, right there, those two lines of dialog broke my heart.
But nothing happened in the movie. No one was ever in real danger. There was no real conflict. The villain(?) and his stupid “plan”(?!?!?!) seemed a weird afterthought. The whole movie - which was little more than a 2-hour-long commercial for the upcoming Black Panther and Spider Man movies - was built entirely to as…
Feige: Um, we never talked about killing Cap in this, right? No.
Sure they couldn’t kill Cap, because that would detract from the story. But they didn’t have any problem sticking it to the black guy. Again! Well at least they didn’t kill him off. Rhodey, should have just worn a red shirt.
This quote makes me think there is an alternate ending to Batman v Superman where Bats’ visit to Lex in prison takes a drastic turn...
I think Snyder is the last person who should be saying anything on Batman Day considering that he one said this in an interview about BvS completely unprompted:
‘damaged the United States, harmed our national security, and put the American people at greater risk’
Or the studio knew ahead of time the film version was going to suck and they didn’t want the “other team” hanging around, reminding viewers of how bad they screwed the pooch.
Because they tried to turn the villains into loveable heroes. Yet in Batman v superman the heroes weren’t very loveable. WHO IS RUNNING THIS THING!?
The team and the mission worked, on TV (live action or animated). It didn’t work in the theaters.
“Now you can only see the failure we made of your work!”
Then, once finding out that it was successful, told to never mention the Arrowverse Suicide Squad again because they thought people would get confused about the two versions of the team.
If this is true, then that’s kind of a dick move.
DC/WB believe in If you build it, they will come. But that’s a whole other kind of movie.
This happened after Man of Steel too though, we were told that “lessons had been learnt”. Then we got BvS...
I have a better idea, pretend BvS and MoS never happened. Because at this point there’s no way I’m willing to invest myself in the DC Murderverse considering that its “Batman” is an alcoholic, homicidal maniac who jumps to illogical conclusions and a “Superman” who once destroyed a man’s truck and ruined his…
Nothing will really change until Zack Snyder takes The Long Walk.
