Agree 100%.  Sure donating money is the best thing many people can do.  But celebrities have a built in platform most of us don’t, so I would argue the best thing he can do is speak up so his followers see.  Amplifying voices is important too.

Watch the news, local and national, where most Americans receive everything they ever hear about this guy. They never report anything like this. Nothing about deranged tweets. Maybe a benign quote here and there. They are failing us spectacularly.

If everyone walked off Twitter, the world would be a better place. But people are hooked on those sweet, sweet “likes” and the idea that maybe one day some exhausted and/or lazy and/or incompetent journalist will print one of their Tweets on a topic rather than actually do some reporting about it...

What happens?  Not a fucking thing.  Twitter did nothing and Trump doubled down.  Fuck them both.

And herein lies the problem. Decent people will not want to keep dredging up this painful situation out of respect for the family. But Trump, who has no atom of decency in his bloated body, will keep yelling about it, his lumpen followers will repeat it and with no response then claim “cover-up”. 

The only thing that surprises me about this story is how Trump still manages to have a 44% approval rating.
