The scene where luke turns himself over to vader in ROTJ is a great scene. It’s the first glimpse of vader having a glimmer of good underneath.

I share your hesitation but god damn if I didn’t do a mental backflip when Disney said “Hey nice product you have here... there’s the fucking door George. We aren’t using any of your ideas for this new movie. And those books that nerd you know was geeking out about? We tossed those too. Trust us.”
You can’t disagree with it? I agree that there are some plotholes and issues with the movies but I cannot agree that those plotholes/issues make the movies suck. They are still great imo.
I disagree with a lot of these criticisms. Most of them boil down to “this isn’t 100% believable!” which seems rather silly. I have issues with both trilogies (they aren’t perfect at all) but I love the star wars universe and really enjoyed both trilogies. I have no doubt in my mind that I will like episode 7.
He was already a second banana in the other two. He’s scary and loud when his boss isn’t around, but Tarkin clearly outranks him in ANH, and in ESB he’s such a toadie that he breaks off pursuit of the Falcon in order to send a clear message of himself groveling to his boss.
It’s worth $12-15 of my money and 2-3 hours of my time to find out, and they would really, really have to fuck up to create a worse movie than Attack of the Clones.
At the moment, his statement strikes me as a lot of “yeah, this is what other people do wrong.” I might be warmer toward it if he acknowledged this is the first time he’s done what he recommends in a long career - if he could identify logistic reasons he couldn’t have done so before, that’d actually be even better.
That’s fair. I don’t think he’s a bad person, either, just a privileged one (like you said) and one who’s talking up a movie. I wish he’d acknowledge that he’s a late convert. It’d make this seem a little less like a talking point to me.
Personally I would recommend the 3D Paper World Mapby Warburg.
Well, it made me cringe the whole time, so it’s basically dead on to real late night talk show interviews.
I like to play a fun game with Deadspin articles called “Skip to any random paragraph and see if an accusation of racism is made.” Lo and behold, it was. Anyways, do you joyless fucks even remember what it was like to like something?
Actually, Cliffhanger Productions was working on Shadowrun Online now titled Shadowrun Chronicles for a year and more before Harebrained Schemes decided to run the Shadowrun Returns Kickstarter despite Cliffhanger already having plans in place and being prepared to Kickstart their own Shadowrun game. In fact, the…
Peter Vaughan, (Master Aemon) who has somehow been old longer than I’ve been alive: Straw Dogs, 1971 (couldn’t get a particular scene, but you first see him in the pub at 4:03)
I know I say this a lot these days, but truly THIS heralds the Death of Gaming. When developers begin listening to their community and making alterations to the game based on feedback, we’ve boarded the Censorship Train on the way to Unethical Town.
One time I knew a girl who almost slept with a guy before she found out he was a gamer and backed out just in time. I heard she called up her guy friends and they beat him up when he got off his shift at work. Gamers should come out and tell people up front about their lifestyle so they won’t have to take drastic…
well, i can agree that getting actual statistics on the 'success' of poly relationships is virtually impossible so all we have is logic and our *personal* experiences
Yeah I got my BS in psychology, and for our final project, we had to do a research paper/presentation on a human behavior or trait, and discuss whether it was nature or nurture that "caused" it. I picked male aggression, and after very thorough research found it was both. If I remember correctly, every other person in…
