Sold. I spent an insane amount of time in Skyrim VR. Really nothing like being inside that world and seeing it in that way. One of my favorite gaming experiences and I think it was just low resolution and tricky PSVR camera stuff that eventually annoyed me enough to make me lose interest.

I mostly (eh) enjoyed the game (ehh), though the jank and background nonsense was painful (and I don’t go around recommending it), but I don’t think a month went by in 2021 where I didn’t talk to someone who said something along the lines of “you know, I played that 2077 game and it was better than I thought it’d be.”

I love Wildermyth. I’ve played a lot of it and the characters’ lives, the wins and losses, so much of it sticks with me like a good book or great film. Damn. Puts a smile on my face that it made this list.

His jokes were at the expense of trans people, I won’t go into detail about the specifics here because it would just be like giving more air to hate. The trans community is right to be angry and telling them over and over that the hurt this special has caused doesn’t matter, or better yet this implication that they

The sickest part of all of this is how so many people don’t just want to ignore how someone can use their comedy platform to dehumanize people who are already under attack. No, that’s not enough. At the least, they want the dehumanized people to shut up and not complain. Hell, they want those who’ve been attacked to

Okay. This sounds fine but if your review is 90% reasons why it’s different from The Witcher, it’s probably not really similar.

It depends. I’ve really gotten into turn-based top-down RPGs like this, but less so ARPGs (with a few exceptions like Hades or the older Zeldas).

I like making fun of games I like, but do you really think the people mocking this game in the article and on the subreddit would call themselves “fans” of the game? I bet the majority wouldn’t.

PSVR Skyrim. My first extended VR experience. It’s amazing.

I get it, you want good policy, I do too, but without the “smart and quirky mayor runs for president” angle, he wouldn’t be getting all this free press. The man’s turned that bit into a 4th or 5th place spot. I mean, damn.

I kept trying the AC series and getting bored and bouncing off for years until this one. And this one, well, I can’t put it down. It seems like there is always something grabbing my attention or I wind down and get sent on a wikipedia trip to learn about Ancient Greece.

I’ll be playing Odyssey, probably all weekend. I think all I needed to completely fall for an AssCreed game is some RPG stuff and a tall lovable protagonist like Kassandra.

Yeah, this has gotten nuts. There is also some drama going on with some popular YouTube D&D people like Dawnforgedcast and some of the Save or Dice folks about Roll20 that’s coming out (something about them being oppressed white guys).

It looks like some nightmarish attempt at a timpano.

Rimworld. Kinda makes me feel like a rebel.

Oh hey, I read this manga. It’s F***ing devastating.

Like a summer lily, the Woody Allen controversy blooms for us again.

Maybe I overstepped on “unacceptable” but it seems like a bad business decision, at the very least. I don’t make any claims to know the business very well, I’m mostly concerned with the end product. But keep in mind as you frame people’s expectations that the things missing from the game weren’t created out of thin

Good point.

That big famous Reddit post is where you can find a lot of ideas explicitly stated as being in the game that either weren’t at all or haven’t been discovered yet (best case scenario).
