I agree they blew it. There is still some fun to be had with the Wii-U, but just not enough. It’s a disappointment, for sure. Just like with the original Wii, I had to buy a supplemental console in order to play the best games.

I’m not sure if the original Bioshock has lost any of its luster over the past few years, but I played it upon release and thought it was a masterpiece. I’m talking full “game-is-art” perfection. The “twist” blew my mind (and still can if I think about it).
Just build a Timmy’s on the premises and that operational deficit goes away.
I remember, vividly, the release of Mario 64. It was a sensation. There were reports on national news programs. It was a big deal. And still stands as one of the great games of all time. It is fun to play RIGHT NOW. Wonderful game. I love my N64. I just wish Shadows of the Empire had turned out a little better. Still…
His real crime is running past Raglan Road. That place is delicious!
I don’t know if he’s the greatest of all time, but there is no question now that he is solidly in the conversation. Before the other night you looked dumb for saying he was the best ever. Now it has to be taken seriously. What he did in this series has elevated him, and he didn’t have much farther to go. He’s top-10,…
Good call on Gwynn. He was so unassuming that it is easy to overlook him in these conversations. The article points out the amazing 262 hits Ichiro had one season (and it is amazing), but Gwynn’s .372 at 37 is pretty incredible, too. Gwynn was a hit machine unlike anyone who has ever played. He was fat, too!
I love Ichiro. He’s remarkable and someone I wish had played for my team. But records are per league and therefore he is not the MLB hit king, just as Rose is not the Nippion hit king. Neither are some sort of all-time hit king.
Haven’t even decided on a game engine? That seems like a fairly important thing to square away. Maybe even one of the first things. And they are already mo-capping. This game is 2 years off at least folks.
I disagree on Scorpio. I think it is critical that Microsoft (and any other console maker) to start producing a console that can compete with today’s tech. In this console generation there should be ZERO games that can’t run at least 1080p 60fps. That is the baseline. Microsoft needs to... ahem... jump ahead. So far,…
Wow, gotta say, this is an amazing game series when the “worst” game is a masterpiece. Sorry to see the series end.
Lord I hope that was a joke. 20 years of hearing that on sports talk radio. One of the all-time greats and people can’t get his name right.
This is good news to me. While the series has gotten progressively easier and I’d like a return to the difficulty of the first, these are still outrageously fun games that have added lots of fresh gameplay elements with each iteration.
Gotta go with Fake. It just doesn’t look real.
For a musician (rock, rap, or otherwise) that rider is positively tame.
Sometimes you don’t have to adhere to baseball’s stupid unwritten rules. Sometimes you can just say the hitter was a total asshole, but whatever. He got me.
How did 4-years between console become bi-annual?
Eh. People buy new GPU’s for $300 every 3 years max. Still spending way more on a PC than a console. But you are PC Master Race so you’re going to take an embellished negative view on anything console-related right?
I will Day 1 a more powerful Xbone. 4 years between consoles is nothing, assuming the price point is $350 or so. This is no different than buying a new GPU every 2-3 years. This will slightly bridge the power gap per dollar between the Xbox and PC. I’m cool with it.
I hope it is exactly like Fallout 4, which is a great game. I don’t need to categorize it as a Fallout game, or anything else. But no question the Bethesda Fallout games have all been masterpieces.
