I once had a carpenter build me cubby's under my desk for a pillow, alarm clock, and magazine storage. My boss Geroge found it and destroyed it.

First wine, then coffee, followed by beer... and now onion snobs! ; ) (All meant in good fun...ion.)
This does seem bogus to me.
Can't a program just be "complete?"
Traffic sucks, so why not start your morning off with some music? You provide the toast and we'll provide the jams.
Anothe reason why IndyCar sucks ass. They can't even get their pit boxes right. That, and half the race is run under caution because nobody can drive the POS cars. Can't wait for the wreck-fest in Baltimore next week when they put ithe chicane right over the bupiest part of the track. Morons. Knowing Baltimore, half…

It's true. Besides, 92% of Statistics are made up on the spot.

In California, when you park on a hill, you have to turn your wheel in a certain direction so that if your parking brake failes, you don't roll into the street. I think this may be common practice elsewhere, but I never heard of it until I moved here and it was actually a law (I don't think it's a law in Michigan,…

You mean my method of looking for the gas cap door on the outside is no good anymore? And all this time I thought it was a good indication...
To underline Gilles Villeneuve's skill in a poor-handling racecar, the following was written by F1 Journalist Alan Roebuck on a visit to Dijon circuit in France, where Villeneuve and Arnoux had previously had their titanic battle. It's one of the best descriptions of Villeneuve's talents I've read.

Very much this. My wife's in grad school, and tends to use whatever computer is nearby, regardless of whose it is and what is on it. Dropbox allows her to keep all of her school-related documents in one place that cannot be spilled coffee on.
Exactly this. I keep school documents in Dropbox so I can access them from any machine, especially if I need to print something (thankfully, that's increasingly rare an occurrence). I'll also use it to send large video files to my brother across the country...takes a little while, but it's easy and works in the…
Maybe I'm just too thrifty or I'm missing something here, but a dollar store spiral notebook functions just the same as any of these and costs 1/10 as much. What functional benefit is there between a Moleskine and a Mead? I don't care about looking cool, I want to get work done as quickly and cheaply as possible.
I totally agree with you... seems more like over-protectiveness than actually being good. GUI is there for a reason, command line is better off being learnt _after_ knowing a GUI.
I'm not sure about the title of this article... "I Raised My Kids On the Command Line…and They Love It"
