Making an expensive car doesn’t make you a luxury brand. If the NSX doesn’t make Acura luxury, then an expensive LS won’t either.

You actually don’t go to a Hyundai dealer to buy one, you’re supposed to set up an appointment with one of their advisors and they’ll bring a test car to your home/office to try it out. I think this is in the interim while they build out standalone dealers.
They definitely did say the same thing, but it’s rare to see Lexus be thrown into the same discussion as BMW/Mercedes/Audi; it’s more likely to be compared to the likes of Acura, and if you’re feeling brave, Buick too. Lexus occupies the “premium” segment which is very distinct for the luxury segment. At this point…
Both of these cars were conceived to be leased. Does the depreciation matter all that much if you’re not the one trying to sell it in 4 years?
The A7? Yes absolutely, one of the best cars on the road right now. But the Q7 just looks unnecessarily large.
What they’ve created is a premium CUV/SUV that happens to be an EV. They’ll attract a more typical German car buyer rather than the holier than thou type who buy Teslas.
The Q7 has one of the strangest rear overhangs I’ve ever seen. It’s so oddly angled.
I’m fairly certain you’re right. Tesla’s main advantage was being alone in the marketplace for several years; but now that companies who actually know how to build a car and have the EV portion figured out will come in and start taking away marketshare. Tesla has always been a ticking time bomb, once it became…
What you’re asking for a complete re-engineering of what a formula 1 car is; just to have some publicity stunt event. The engines were not designed to run at full throttle for >300km, and the tires were not made to handle sustained g loads through the banking (see: 2005 US GP). Yes this can be changed given enough…
This has been the most stable beta to date, and I’ve been doing this since first beta testing iOS5 all those years ago.
Amari, and specifically Cynar within the broader category, are an acquired taste. But once you get to a point where you appreciate the unique flavor, they become quite good both on their own as either an aperitif/digestif, or within a cocktail.
I had largely the same reaction. First off, why is he a semi-regular commentator when he said he retired from racing to be with his family? If he’s still attending most of the races I call bullshit on that.
I’m not anti-halo by any means, but wasn’t it the roll hoop that saved the day here?
So if I stand at 1 Doug DeMuro (aka either 6,3' or 6,4'), will I have any hope of fitting in one of these things?
Will we ever see a GTI or R version of this body style? I’d love to have something slightly bigger than a standard Golf but without losing the fun factor.
My mom had a Kia Soul SX Luxury, and it had basically every feature you could think of for 2015. The Koreans specifically have figured out what sells, and it’s all the fancy gadgets that you previously needed an S-class to get. Now the quality of the materials and fit/finish clearly is not on the same level as that…
I understand what you’re getting at here, but do we really want to have this same discussion after somebody’s head was taken off in a world without such a safety device?
Interesting. I was considering the R as my next car over the S3 since it’s more expensive and the magnetic ride is a ~$1700CAD option. The GTI (especially the upcoming Mk8) may prove an extremely competitive alternative.
Have you seen any appreciable difference between 87 and 91? I keep moving back and forth every couple of months and I just can’t discern a performance/economy difference.
My only problem with the sport mode is that it doesn’t like suburb driving. It seems to want to change down another gear the split second after I pull away from a stop sign.
