There’s a good chance this would violate Ford’s agreement with either Apple or Google. If they did actually do this and got caught (of course, this in itself is not guaranteed), would they not be subject to a substantial anti-trust lawsuit?

You got it exactly right. The BMW owner who tries to talk your ear off about his car’s V6 engine is clearly not an enthusiast, while the Camry owner can very much be a gearhead.
One thing that’s become particularly irritating about this cars’ following is that it’s apparently now a supercar, to be mentioned in the same discussion as Huracans and F12s. This E-Class/5 Series competitor comes nowhere close to qualifying as a supercar, and the lame argument that it should be based solely on its…
I did many a presentation on my way to my undergrad degree, and I found that the best way to do a presentation is to thoroughly understand what you’re talking about rather than try to memorize a script. As long as you know the subject matter, you just need to keep track of a set of topics to cover and you’re all set.…
How are they going to obliterate the Germans with a car that looks like that? Volvos look like less interesting versions of Buicks.
Mazda3 owner here. I initially thought of this as a lazy way to incorporate a large screen within the dash, but it’s actually proven to be very good. It doesn’t impede my vision at all, and by virtue of it being mounted on top of the dash rather than at steering wheel height, I can look at it without losing the road…
The word ridiculous comes to mind here.
All of my friends hated it until they took a ride in it. It was hands down the smoothest ride on the most comfortable seats you’ve ever experienced. I only got rid of it because the fuel pump died and the labor that would have gone into dropping the gas tank to change it was more than the car was worth. I still miss…
If I was fabulously wealthy, I also would have kept and restored my first car, no matter how uncool it was. (for reference, it was a 1998 LeSabre)
Hell I’d buy that car based on the name alone!
I was thinking the same thing. I used to own a LeSabre and that car was only available with the 3800 engine. And yet, it’s not listed here. Is this not an engine-specific rather than platform-specific issue?
All you need to do is look annoyed all the time. Then people think you’re busy.
“is it green?”
Nope, not unless has $25 billion to spare and can forcibly take the reins of the FCA group.
By the way, this is not directed at you specifically.
I’ve heard this outside of message boards and comment sections though. While Fifth Gear isn’t necessarily a rock solid source, I’d be more inclined to believe Tiff and the team than anonymous people on the internet.
Why not? The dad let his kid do this to the car, and Ferrari has a brand image to protect. This could very well have been the last Ferrari he’s allowed to buy.
I think it’s within the realm of possibility. This is their flagship car after all, they get to choose who buys them. At the very least they can blacklist the real owner of this car.
Except by doing so they ran out of money to clear the snow. It's a catch-22...
Except that the street itself is riddled with potholes and is largely undrivable.
