Quick Google search yielded zero dealerships offering CPO Quadrifoglios. Anyone else found found them?
Maybe it’s a “momentum car” like the BRZ/86
Not a jump but
lol it’s nice when I can miss your point entirely but still feel like my comment made sense.
I’m at a happy place with these two V8-equipped extra-curricular vehicles (DD is a boring Camry). Bought the 4R brand new in 2007 and it has spent much of its near 200,000 miles doing expeditions all over the U.S. and Canada. The other vehicle hasn’t even hit 2,000 miles on the odo yet, but it gives me thrills on the…
I live down the street from you and it made my day coming home from work and seeing this in your driveway each day. Really made me want to get my MR2 back up and running after it was my daily driver for seven years through numerous Colorado snow storms and a few ski trips.
The R8's frunk is quite usable. Lovely example!
I got to take an R8 (along with an RS6 and RS3) out for some hot laps behind a champion GT4 driver (y? I still don’t know) and I will never forget that. I still get tingly thinking about it now.
What you say is totally true about the comfort, at least - it was just as easy to get behind the wheel of that as it was a…
It’s one thing to be the guy that owns a supercar. It’s another to be the guy who takes the supercar to their Home Depot runs. You’re in a good place right now. One I hope to be in the day.
It’s far from a supercar, but last October I bought a 49k mike, garage queen ‘96 Miata with my VW money and have put on 14,000 miles and gone on many a road trip, packing it like a sardine tin and going a couple places that I really should have known better. It’s a joy, getting unexpected practicality out of a…
A couple years ago I finally was able to buy an R8, a car I had lusted for since I first saw the concept over a decade earlier. I hadn't driven one until I found this at the dealership in Manhattan and I was instantly struck by how usable it is for daily driving. After buying it I drove it back down to Charleston, SC…
Being one of my favorite car designs of all time, I approve!
I’d give my left nut for one of these. Anyone in the market for a left nut? Well-used, 1970s vintage, suspension sags a little. Bargain basement price of $350K.
I’ve seen zero of these driving around the Denver area. Meanwhile I saw the unreleased Lambo SUV 2 months ago. This car is not selling well.
They don’t necessarily even need to redesign the transaxle completely. Theoretically, they can just do a different housing with the differential/output shafts closer to the front, while keeping the basic guts the same. It would be a different transmission, but not completely so.
Supposedly there are going to be 2 versions of the next Corvette, the MR platform and the continuation of the FR platform. Most likely because the Stingray and Z06 are going to remain on the FR platform. Which leaves the MR to be placed way above them in ZR1 territory.
This is the only Corvette I’ve cared about, pretty much ever. To me, that makes this car a success. The usual Corvette buyers are dying and not as many people are stepping up behind them.
