I don’t see why this would have to be astronomically priced. What about changing the layout makes it more expensive? Having to design a new transaxle from scratch? Seems like everything else can be adapted from a C7. I can’t see the starting price being more than $75k.

My brother left a floor jack in the trunk of his Miata. He also removed all the carpeting. When I took it out for a spin in the wet to play, the jack made contact with the exposed battery terminals. It quickly caught fire and died. The FD showed up within 3 minutes but the fire had already burned itself out. Just the

You’re right. I remembered seeing a near 200k price tag last time I looked. Turns out that was the Plus model.

People! Can’t we just agree that a 10 generation family tree must be pulled and investigated before we do business with monsters like this?

The R8 isn’t a small leap up in price.

I have two softtops, Miata and R8, and while I agree with you when it comes to the Miata, the R8 has a wonderful softtop. It’s 7 years old now and looks near new. Road and wind noise is minimal. No downsides that I can think of.

Yep, the salt ooze just drips and drips.

At least you didn’t have to do the cleanup. ;)

I finally made it out to the flats for the first time the week before. Just putzing around on the salt is strange enough. Going 200mph on that surface must feel crazy.

Are there any interesting specs you can share that aren’t on the Wikipedia page?

What a Super Hang-On!

It’s possible but it’s not what she told me. I’m interested to see what happens down the road.

Would something like:

I see where you are coming from but I have two perspectives I’d like to share.

When someone is at the apex of an organization, they should be setting example for the rest of the crew. I guarantee there are changes he’d like to make at NASCAR that he did not finish but, this whole thing could lead to an early retirement.

A DUI is a heavy burden to have to lug. Nut or not, this man will have a circuit of court dates that he’ll be going round and round on for some time. Addiction is the driver here folks. I suspect he’ll draft the services of some talented professionals to get him on the right track.

Ha, my first thought was that she was picking up her lemon law qualifying Audi from the service department

Man, that’s the pits, what a wreck. This would be a good time for him to take stock of his life. When life throws you a left turn, lean in to it but use caution. He can bank on a court-ordered recovery program. It’ll be a long road but I’m sure he’ll make it to the finishline though success won’t just land in his lap.
