Honestly, I feel like moral outrage at such a thing could be better directed elsewhere. Its not like public money is funding this. They clearly have a target demographic, and, I guess, its not women. Meh.

Totally agree, what a great film right? Yeah, I’m mad it’s him, but I don’t regret seeing the film. Unfortunately talented people do really shitty things and I don’t knock people for boycotting, but I just have to find my own boundaries with who I feel is acceptable to support.

Casey Affleck was brilliant in Manchester by the Sea and absolutely deserved his Oscar. I don’t know where I would draw the line at not seeing great art because of the conduct of the artist, but to me at least, Casey Affleck didn’t cross that line.

Or as equally pertinent - can we please not have endless remakes of stories that we’ve all seen before, decades ago?

Yeah! I’m glad she’s back! Obviously, she needs to take care of her mental and physical health first. The wrist thing seems like a potential problem, so I definitely hope she takes it easy.

I know I’ll catch shit for this, but Lena has the ugliest fucking tattoos.

I buy Mason Jars, and whenever I drink Milk, I always use these glasses and do a *Gulp Gulp* *Mouthswipe* “Ahhh” whenever I drink it. I’m 24.

100% with you on this - send me all the info you want to send at one shot, nothing drives me more insane than having my phone go off a half dozen times to see multiple related thoughts that could’ve been done in one neat, clean paragraph.

Fem Shep is best Shep. I base that statement purely upon Hale’s performance.

Unlike the overwhelming norm she’s actually been quite lucky with her roles, playing powerful women, famous men, villains and victims. Her career and choice of roles has had more range than most men tbh.

I think you have a very point. As a child who was spanked, I don’t hate my parents for their method of punishment. Do I wish they tried different methods, yes. But I think its very important to delineate the difference between spanking and abuse. Spanking that is hard, continuous, and physically and psychologically

well now you are out, so they must have done something right :)

Never? So you wouldn’t slap a had away that you suddenly saw reaching for the stove? Or one that was about to be shoved in a dog’s mouth? Or one of the many other cases where you would have to act fast and possibly “hit” them to protect them?

What if you instead of spanking put them in time out and they smack their

I have kids of my own. Not talking about courts of law, I am talking about common sense. He (and his wife) have the right to discipline their kids they way they want as long as they are not abusive and I do not consider spanking to be such. If the tables were switched and this was Paula instead of him I would say

i was spanked as a kid a few times. i didn’t hate my parents for it, because i knew i fucked up really bad. I mean I dont know what kind of spankings people are handing out these days, but i remember it being one or two hard pats on the bottom.

If your young child has run into the road for the fifth time, after you’ve pulled him out of the street, distracted him with an activity or toy, calmly explained to him why he shouldn’t do that, more firmly talked to him, etc., a firm smack on the behind can be the wake-up call that might just work. Not beating him

So you say they have to apologize for the Wii U and charge less because of it? I’d say to judge the console on it’s own merits

You can think of it like that, or you can think of it as being priced well for both a home console and portable one. 2.5 hours + USB charging, and I can take it on the plane? And it’s one system? It not only just sealed the Vita’s future but any other competition

Please, let's not call this "rape." I'm sure that birth can sometimes be traumatic, but calling it "rape" does a real disservice to survivors.
