How does this work do they each have a different A that then unlocks the other’s B? or do they Share an A that unlock a B?

Some friends and I have recently been enjoying playing on a private server that is era locked somewhere between COP and TOA. Since there are 5 of us we so most things with just our group. It helps that 3 of the 5 are dual-boxing so we don’t need to fill the party with people we don’t know or can’t find.
