Yes! I tried Turkish Delights for the first time after watching the movie, and I was disappointed how ordinary it tasted.

My family was in a very serious car accident (the driver of the car that hit ours died on the scene), and my mom’s knees were pretty much pulverized by the impact. She was out of it because of the pain and trauma, but kept trying to refuse the air ambulance because she knew she couldn’t afford it. They took her anyway

I do think you have a point there. My daughter loves the idea of Barbie having all those clothes, especially shoes. She already spends hours changing her baby doll into the few outfits she has, so I can see the appeal of changing Barbie’s outfits, and then yeah, playing grown up a little bit.

I agree! And she cannot stand up because her feet are mutated in the shape of heels, and her legs are twice the size of her torso.

Thank you! I just want her not to feel that blonde, busty and thin is the end all, be all. But we’re already having discussions about all the real life brave, smart, interesting women out there, so maybe that will counter this.

My daughter does like Wonder Woman, so maybe I’ll get her some of the Super High dolls out right now. And yeah, I’m selective with my Disney princesses too. She loves Elsa, who in her mind is on par with Wonder Woman and Batgirl (because, super powers!), and Moana. She knows of the other princesses, but haven’t

That’s definitely good to know. My parents were very much middle-of-the-road people, but my mom made sure I had a nice blend of traditional boy toys, like matchbox cars, alongside my Carebears. I didn’t get Barbies, but I was the only girl in elementary school wearing Star Wars shirts. I marvel and respect that she

I am giving myself permission to just be lazy today and do what the rest of the family is doing - playing video games, watching YouTube, and ordering pizza when we get hungry. I ran myself ragged this month trying to be ALL THE THINGS, and yeah, I’m tired. Plus the kids actually like when I game with them, who knew?

Congrats, you're doing great with your writing goals! I've participated in Nanowrimo for the past four years, but this year I just couldn't get it together. My kids were being demanding and I was dealing with mental health stuff. It's frustrating because writing makes me feel better, but it just didn't work this year.

Oh no! I'm not a beer drinker, but your articles were always interesting and fresh, and The Takeout won't be the same without you. Good luck with your freelance endeavors!

I’m going to introduce my daughter to Sims 4, maybe play a little Two Point Hospital, and after the littles go to bed, it’s Death Stranding time. Thanksgiving weekend is all about video games for this family.

I agree with you. I was more emotionally invested in FFX than I ever was with FFXV, and the ending resonated more with me.

I never usually drink, but I did at Thanksgiving. My SIL brought her newborn, an adorable baby, but that’s when the shitshow started. People can’t be happy with just one baby, they have to start harping on everyone else to get on the baby train. My MIL and her sisters started asking my other SIL when she was going to

After the back-to-back disasters of Fallout 76 and Anthem, my husband and I stopped playing video games for almost a year. I’m thankful for Outer Worlds and Death Stranding, both great video games that helped us back into the fold.

Yes, it's such a good podcast!

I like green apple the best, personally.
