Always, always, always remember that HR is there to protect the company, not you. If someone sexually assaults you at work, call the police, call a lawyer, THEN call HR. Don’t rely on HR to do anything to protect you.

The list of call centers that aren’t completely awful would be a very short or non-existent list. They are almost always a nightmare. Go talk to any HR person who is responsible for a call center and prepare yourself for a few hours conversation on what it is like.
