This, said in the context of this thread, may be the single lamest, most pathetic internet comment I’ve ever seen. Congrats dude.

Aint nobody getting suspended for flopping, come on. And the fine is like 5 thousand bucks. So no, there’s not really any penalty.

I definitely get that sense. It was clear to me this year when he picked the Giants(!) to go to the Super Bowl out of the NFC. It was obvious that pick was not based on any research at all, but merely the fact that it would make it the 3rd Pats/Giants Super Bowl. Like, even his NFC pick was somehow a Boston homer pick.

Actually soccer’s sex scandals are beyond American sports fans’ wildest dreams:

No, you’re right. Only horrible officiating allowed this to happen. Good thing like 98% of high school refs are atrocious at their jobs.

Not that it actually undermines your point or the point of the article, but that’s slightly wrong. The graphic shows that he’ll spend 60 days total in jail. He had served 17 already at the time of the sentence.

Not that it makes a difference to your analysis/point, but based on that graphic the headline is wrong. It looks like he’ll spend 60 days in jail with credit for 17 already served. So he’ll be out 43 days from sentencing. His attorney’s quote was from before the sentence was imposed, he was probably arguing for no

There hasn’t been an NBA game since 1991 where a team didn’t make at least one three-pointer. There’s only been about a dozen games ever where neither team made a 3, and those all happened between 1979 (when the three-pointer was introduced) and 1987.

Maybe they were “able to find” it because it was recorded for a goddamn tv show on a major network.
