@noamjamski: How to find information. How to analyze information. How to judge its worth. How to judge the sources. How to identify bias. How to find sources with the opposite bias. How to synthesize. How to pick apart persuasive text. How to come to decisions. And finally, how to articulate those decisions and

@Gnatalby: Can you elaborate? I'm not sure what you're getting at.

@Gnatalby: It's not slut-shaming. It's merely pointing out that the implicit comparison between an actress-celebrity and the first female secretary of state is troublesome. The two accomplishments are on different levels.

@feathernotdot: The worst is always the abrupt, "What are you?"

@ManicPixieNightmare: Yeah no kidding. Only thing worse about being a female tech major is when a classmate assumes you're taking the class as an elective because you couldn't possibly be actually majoring in computer science, duh, you're a girl.

@heartsrevolution: Well, no, it's not. Beauticians have the expertise and knowledge that I do not. They don't make the decisions, they inform them. Don't assume I'm saying what I'm not.

@heartsrevolution: If I had the time, money, and team of personal beauticians that she has, I would be "reinventing" myself far more often than she does. Why not? I've always loved playing dress-up.

@Gary_7vn: I said targeted, not affected. I actually agree with you.

@Gary_7vn: Rich people are also more likely to be targeted.

@Jesse Astle: True. There's also the magnetic goatee that he's adopted a few times.

@Xagest: It totally is. My first thought as well.

I would hang #4 on my wall.

@satoru: Yeah, you do. Have you talked to any college students recently?

@satoru: Yeah, you do. Have you talked to any college students recently?

My self-respect means I respect every part of me, and that includes my agency as a sexual being. I can take part in "sexting" because I want to. Knowing the (possibly far-reaching) consequences of the activity is important, yes, but my taking part in the activity itself is not evidence that I lack self-respect.

If women don't care about men's hairlines, and men do, then ... what? Then they care.

@twothefutureandbeyond: Because by doing so they are also fucking all of China's citizens, who can't necessarily "just leave".
