You're confusing the "hardcore" people who have the time and inclination to go to message boards and whine about x game as the majority, when in reality they are a very small group of a much larger audience (an audience who don't see any negatives in pre-order incentives). The number of people who are legitimately pissed off by pre-order DLC are in the extreme minority. The majority of gamers who walk into a Wal-Mart and see a pre-order incentive see it as nothing more than a bonus, not something that "should have been included in the first place".
