21 months for beating up an old guy, and sending him to the hospital ain’t that bad.

Don’t we have a Chrysler plant in Canada or something? What happens in that situation?

If this was anyone else there would be a mystery. But it’s Bernie fucking Sanders. Of course he’s ignoring his actual principles (ie: that a candidate he agrees with is running), giving up power (because presumabkle a son who agrees with him would vote his way a lot), and generally fucking up real life because goo-goo

I wouldn’t be surprised if some rich asshole has made the Seychelles his “project,” donating, lobbying, etc. In exchange he’s gotten a fancy Consul-title.

I agree to a certain extent - Lebron would be joyful if he had actual support. The man is carrying the entire organization on his back. Doesn’t make his basketball any less thrilling to watch. I am a Kobe stan, but even I know Lebron is the GOAT (after Kareem >.> ). This is the NBA, not some travel ball team where

I did S.C.A. heraldry in the ‘80s, and there were certain differences from the real world. And my memory is failing a bit.

The food pantry isn’t as bad as it sounds. It’s got a couple little things in it,like Ramen, because if you’re employing a bunch of High School kids part-time in their first “real” job somebody’s gona a) for get his lunch, b) fuck his budget so there’s no food money at the end of the week, etc.

Electrical is always fun. I’ve got a little “trust me on electrical work and your house will burn down and everyone will die speech” memorized that seems to do the trick. It helps that our store ended up with both the actual Master Electricians still working our district.

At 35 he has to pay for insurance or they get dinged by the employer mandate. That’s Federal. The real number is 30. As an HD employee, they have been absolute death on bringing in part-timers for more then 30 hours since 2015. In most cases they’ll throw you out at 25. In some cases literally. I had one manager who

HD firing isn’t really random. They’re just huge dicks about the attendance policy. You have a no-call/no-show unless you can convince an ASM to make it right it’s not going to be made right and you’d best be perfect. You show up 7 minutes late a day that’s fine, but if you do 9 times in 6 months your 10th is

Dude, in ‘07 they paid people money. Electrical, in particular, frequently had a “Master Electrician” hanging around who was actually a certified Master Electrician. Those guys did not give up their businesses for an hourly under $20, and if they were hardball negotiators could get more like $25.

Probably a combo of poor management, and the fact really wealthy customers tend to treat retail workers like Amazon bots. Especially tech guys. To be fair, most of the tech guys actually want you to treat them like an Amazon bot back.

Dude it’s retail.

How poor is the area? Associate hours are determined by revenue. if you’re in a poor area, then most of the customers will tke one look at the product they really need and say “don’t you have one cheaper?,” which means lower revenue per customer, and thus fewer associates per customer.

Five-month-promotion is not common, but it does happen. One guy I work with came in less then 12 months ago, and went from flooring specialist to department supervisor quite quickly. They’re shifting him around. Litterally the second he figures out how his current department should be run, he’s moved. It’s impossible

Dude, if you were talking about any other state in the Union except Cali you would be 100% right. But this is Cali. Silicon Valley is there. Something like 25% of Silicon Valley are Asian men. My suspicion is that Cali Asians have a higher per capita income than then Cali whites, because there’s a lot of working class

Pay attention to more business and Asia News. The Strait of Malacca is the one Singapore is on, and i’s on the most convenient shipping route from East Asia (so China/Japan/Korea) to the entire rest of the old world (Europe, India, Africa).

What makes you think Apple isn’t calling the shots on this one? especially when all Apple needs to do is send a list of products to CBP

According to that article the fired baristas are getting the same deal everyone else who worked at that location gets: a job at another location.

Bessner’s a state trooper. Detroit cops said some pretty horrible things after the chase, but they didn’t kill the kid. That’s all on the state.
