@Spiegel-Bear: Indeed. Using these sorts of "vision statements", "mission statements" etc. from company leaders are part and parcel of advertising and promotion, there's nothing remotely exceptional about Tesla doing it except that it's Tesla doing it and we all know Jalopnik's attitude on anything to do with Tesla.
@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: Spyker agree wholeheartedly;
@Beldrueger: Shhhh, don't rock the boat! Ray has posted a pic which nicely encapsulates Jalop's editorial position of "bury your head in the sand / all change is bad / the future won't happen if just we ignore it". The only thing missing is some sort of slam on Tesla...
@Maxx Cracker — sponsored by Peniston Oils: Shhhhh, that's some dangerously sensible stuff you're saying there...
@dbx: News flash: The guys at the upper echelons of nearly all car companies are non-car guys. They're businessmen first, everything else second (or lower).

@Zadkiel: Hmm, auctioning off BJs. I think that would get more viewers that Barrett-Jackson...
Black Stig was launched off the end of an aircraft carrier. My prediction on how White Stig will be killed off; Crushed by a falling piano while test-driving a Morris Marina.
@gochomoe: Why not? "Plan 9 From Outer Space" is legendary, and arguably it sucks the most. The dictionary here by my desk says "very famous or notorious". By that standard, I'd say the Iron Duke is most certainly legendary.
@ZeroOrDie: My C30 is all about the shoulders, man...
Built in 1970? Gee, I could hardly tell from the architecture and interior design...
"What kind of mileage does it get?"
@Middleswine: How about the Vector W2000?
@leavethegun-takethecannoli: Indeed. If a great vice of the British auto industry in the 60s-70s-80s was to keep the same thing in production forEVER, then their great virtue was to at least give the cars great designs...
