All three parts of the Le Mans-story are now on LaLD.
The 66th edition of the 24 Hours of LeMans (June 6-7, 1998) was fully packed with racing cars, which every motorsports-enthusiast love. These include Mercedes CLK LM, Toyota GT One and McLaren F1 GTR.
In order to tie in with my first story about Le Mans, I would like to go back to real racing legends. The 51st edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 18-19, 1983) had some personified legends.
By chance, I came across the web on this van. The price was so unbeatable that I bought the model without hesitation. And I was not disappointed.
Some of you will remind the great story my buddy Lukas wrote about the AUDI 200 of the TransAM-series... Now he finished another story you will definitely enjoy.
Racing legends are thought to be connected either with drivers or their racing cars. However, there are also names that are above the things. Names that carry so many stories, that it captivates every car and motorsport fan.
My good friend Lukas is also a passionate model car collector. Belong to its main collection area Porsche vehicles of all eras. Especially motorsport models are frequently represented in his collection. Next to Minichamps are also some models from Spark.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on LaLD.So I am all the more pleased to be able to show you a new model of my collection.
These great lookin` vintage drag racing diecasts from Greenlight have been on my desk for some time...
Another addition to my collection - the 2018 Chevy Camaro from Bubba Wallace (Richard Petty Motorsports). The colours of this ride were completely differnt to all my other diecasts.
A few weeks ago, I added Chase Elliott`s 2018 Chevy Camaro to my collection. I also got the 2017 Chevy, so it`s the perfect chance to take some pictures...
This article on Jalopnik/LaLD inspired me to try something new.
My good friend Lukas, whom I have known for some time from various NASCAR groups, has written a very interesting report of one of the AUDI 200 from the Trans Am series. I just took some photos for him and I wouldn`t like to withhold the report....
Some time ago I discovered this diecast on ebay. I decided to buy the model for a few bucks, because a vehicle with UPS paint was missing in my collection.
I am not a fan of these rides called “hypercars”, but the Ford GT is freakin cool. Found this 1/32 Ford GT made by Bburago in a local toy-store. And for a few bucks, I had to take it with me.
For the turbo-day I would like to show you a french classic, that took part at the FIA World Rally Championship.
The LaLD car week was a fantastic event. All the diecast-enthusiasts showed off the best of their best.
For that day I wanted to bring in a real classic. So which car with a 6-cylinder engine is more classic than a Porsche 911??? ...and this one is not a regular 911. It`s the turbo-charged Porsche 964.
That`s my choice for the 3rd day of the LaLD car week. And finally here comes the NASCAR-spam ;-)
