Listen, if this gives us Desmond, I won't complain. Desmond was the best.

Can't tell if this is a Flash reference or something I'm missing…

Ford is so economical he decided to reuse the scenario. OR he decided every good lie needs a hint of truth.

This wouldn't be the first time Jonathan Nolan used that plot idea. In Person of Interest, Nathan Ingram and Finch were a team. Nathan was very smart, but Finch was the real mastermind and genius so Nathan was the public face.

It seems to be the case. She, perhaps with help, massacred the town and somehow killed Arnold. Then the town was buried.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought the last part, you helped make me feel better about how I interpreted it. Ford wasn't just staring at a buried steeple, the excavation crews he had a few episodes back were digging it out.

I think this last episode or episode seven explicitly gave a 34 year time gap since the incident. Everyone so far has been saying roughly 30 years or just over 30 years (and MiB said he's been coming here for 30 years, exactly).

Exactly. The 34-years-ago "incident."

True, but it seems close to Ford's god-like powers.

That and the hosts themselves. Dolores was constantly updated, but we know the massacre she was involved in was in the original village, and this episode showed the Hosts then were jerky and prone to malfunctions. None of the hosts in William's timeline display that.

I still don't buy it, and I'm against it, since we already have the 34-years-ago original village massacre with Dolores, and the hosts in William's storyline do not seem like the jerky Old Bill-style hosts of that time. But they are adding new evidence to support the Will=MiB theory.

That's who she is! I was trying to place it all episode.

Yeah, Maeve getting Ford's near omniscient powers was a surprise. This should throw things for a loop.

Glad they explicitly confirmed that the burned church steeple is the remains of the original park. It looks like my other theory that Dolores was the "patient zero" or main instigator of the 34-years-ago incident was true.

A near single-take moment, of him getting the call, sneaking down a side hallway, getting the bag, making the change (as much as they can show) and then running out a back door in full costume.

"I'm a shonnavabitsch!"

People have freeze-framed it. It's definitely Yul Brynner, in the outfit. Add to that the 70s office design in level B82 (similar to the movie-esc look of level B83 from the season premiere)…this is definitely a soft sequel at the very least.

I was thinking the Wild Bunch, but that works too.

So, uh, we all saw Yul Brynner on level B82, right? That was definitely him when Bernard walked by.

I look forward to the debates where Ellis has to defend, relevant or not, why there was an international military base just blocks from the White House.
