I still like the big clue from it: "Used rubber shot. Like a cop would." Dun dun dun!

He is John Carter of Mars. Respect.

The same Mayor-and-George W Bush photo was in his house and his office. Dude really is proud of that photo.

Ha, yeah, that was great. There were a lot of laughs this episode.

Yeah, I really liked him this week. He sold the beat down.

Ep 1 just took forever to find the body and launch the investigation. Once it did in ep 2 it got better. I really liked this week.

I spent the last two episodes thinking Velcoro's boss Burris was "a weird semi-James Frain lookalike" and then found out it's actually James Frain. Huh.

Last week I said that Paul seems to be the "true" detective of the season, and I stand by that. He seems to be doing a lot of leg work, turning up phone records and tracking down more leads. Which is interesting considering he's the only non-detective on the task force.

Maybe. That was when her soul opened a hole for him to get in? I haven't seen the episode in a bit. I just mainly remember Dalton as Lucifer, which was amazing.

Okay, that would be good. I think Craig might be free, with Spectre wrapped. And he's worked with Mendes and Logan on it, so….

Dracula's up to something, that's for sure. I mean, based on his minions, we're looking at an Egyptian mythology-tinged Dracula with angelic powers. But walking the earth, like Cain in Kung Fu. He's up to something.

I thought Lucifer made an attempt when he slept with Vanessa (and caused her mom to die).

Can we stop and appreciate just how great the show's portrayal of Satan is? I mean, last season they had Timothy Dalton and Josh Hartnett "play" Lucifer in the most bone-chilling reveals I've seen on TV, and now they had a doll, voiced by Eva Green, be Lucifer, and it never felt silly.

Exactly. Season two was Lucifer sending the witches to try and indirect approach. So season three will be Dracula getting involved.

For the last few years I've said it's a cardinal sin that Jonny Lee Miller, Eva Green, and Timothy Dalton haven't won or been nominated for Emmys. I stand by that once again.

Yeah. If you like Gothic horror and have been disappointed by Dorian on Penny Dreadful, check out the audio series The Confessions of Dorian Gray from Big Finish. Amazing series. And they just announced that David Warner is going to play a murderous Santa Claus in this year's Christmas special.

Basically. Season one was both "brothers" trying their moves. Dracula had his minions abduct Mina. Lucifer tried to posses Vanessa. Both failed. So season two was Lucifer using the witches to hunt Vanessa. He failed. Season three will be Count Dracula in all of his infernal glory.

Season 3 big bad. You know it.

Witches, let it be known: You can manipulate Sir Malcolm Murray. You can make him shave his beard. You can imprison him for days and haunt him to the brink of suicide. But he'll shoot you in the head.

And then The Man with the Tiny Gun.
