Too little, too late?

….and I just spit out my tea reading your comment. 10 points to Pepenador.

They're the Good and Evil version of the same character idea: the only competent and sane man.

His Red Priestess is morally dubious but seems right about things, Davos is sane, Shireen is adorable and the best, and he knows grammar. He is the Mannis.

I figured the ruins were, but the fern-filled forests too?

Davos > Locke.

Shireen >>>>>>> Ramsey.

Oh. Could have sworn it was cut from Blackwater. They were on a boat. Huh. My mistake.

So he's just an offscreen jerk.

Indeed! I forgot this clue, but last week, in addition to the Lyanna and Rhaegar exposition scenes, we got Stannis, who's not an idiot, saying that he doubted that Jon was the son of Ned and "some tavern slut," to quote Selyse.

That I figured, but the river, the fern-filled forest, etc. Didn't look like Croatia or Ireland, at least not the locations the show goes to, climate wise.

Does anyone know where they filmed the Valyria scenes? They were gorgeous, and looked nothing like the Ireland, Croatia, etc. locations the show does. Almost felt like the French Riviera or something.

So they cut out Connington and Aegon, but combined him with Jorah? Then I take it Jorah's comment about pirates was the show's one nod to Euron?

I love Brienne, but I love Stannis more, and if she harms him I will vehemently root against her stormtrooper character in the Force Awakens.

Tyrion forgot to add "Majestic, Hemingway-like brooding on a boat."

You sound like Dolorious Edd.

Has Randal Tarly shown up on the show? My book-reading friends said Sam's dad basically up there with Tywin in terms of good parenting, and is allied with the Lannisters.

Lots of talk last week about Rhaegar and Lyanna Stark, who Rhaegar fell in love with. That, plus everyone except Robert Baraetheon saying Rhaegar was an awesome dude, suggest he truly fell for her. And Ned telling Jon that "You may not have my name, but you have my blood." Ned was a crap liar, so Jon being Ned's

My dream: The White Walkers invade, everyone is doomed, Stannis and Jon are leading the resistance, and Dany FINALLY reaches Westeros, declares herself queen, and no one cares because ICE DEMONS!

Once Hamlet, always Hamlet. Go down by sickness in the arms of who you love (Horatio, and I'm guessing Dany).
