"Listen, I'm an old lefty. The government must do for the people what the people can't do for themselves. And they sure as heck can't defend against us."
Shriner > McDounaugh >> Amell. Although the oft-shirtless live-action one has grown on me.
A few weeks ago I was kind of hoping for a Diggle and Roy buddy comedy episode, since they haven't had that much focus this season. I guess episode 10 will give me that wish. I'm thinking we won't see Amell until the final scene, post LP.
Angels in the bible are multi-armed and multi-faced creatures more resembling humanoid chimeras than winged beauties. At the very least, Manny is the kind of jerk angels are supposed to be.
My theory: Det. Leo Banks died at 42, became an angel.
Neil Marshall should direct every episode of this show.
First, an aside: I love Constantine. The show has found it's groove, and I love it. I don't want it to be canceled. Let's keep it alive!
Anyway, Marshall should direct every episode. He gets great performances out of the cast. And his handling of suspense and…
Both don't work for me, although I think I like Zed for being less panicky. I just want to see more of Chas and Manny at this point. They've got John right, and Midnite seems perfect.
Yes. The pilot, beyond the whole Liv-who-is-cut-out is good. The second episode not so much, but this was a great, plot heavy story.
Oh I hope they bust out Sid's My Way at some point. Perhaps when he's conning some serious baddies. I would love that.
This is more like it. I agree the plot was heavy, it felt like a three-issue Hellblazer arc crammed into one episode. Not bad, but more plot than mood. The Neil Marshall style of horror from the pilot wasn't Gothic or gory, but it's own unique style that the successive episodes haven't had. This episode got most of…
"Not Penny's murder." Slow clap sir, slow clap.
Dig: "Roy, you need to relax man."
Roy: "I-I don't know how. I just know how to flip."
Dig: "You must be zen, snarky, and badass. Follow my lead."
RPG-piercing arrow.
I mean, when she first met Ted she pointed out that she's already done multiple self-defense classes. That's been brought up before. Basic boxing lessons doesn't seem like the kind of thing to bring her up to fighting levels.
Wasn't Felicity training with Dig and Oliver in the last two seasons? I mean, isn't she supposed to be more physically fit than the five crunches? I mean, I've had days where I'm exhausted and whatnot, but I thought her physical skills were higher up?
Merlyn: Ambitious, genocidal, slightly nuts, raised from the dead, but at least kind of calling out an asshole move by Ollie.
Nah, her dad's got to be HIVE. I suspect they're the bad guys of the season, poaching off ARGUS, and tied to OMACs and Brother I.
Waiting for him and Gareth Edwards to reboot Superman.
I'm a bit biased toward Roy as I love Arsenal from the comics (until DC screwed him up in the last few years). I wish we had a better Arsenal than, what's his in-series nickname? Abercrombie. We need better than Abercrombie.
I really miss him as Superman….
