I’m all for this. From my trip to Western Europe as a child in 1973(mostly Germany and France), the Citroën DS, 2CV and this van are what stick in my mind the best of all the different cars they had we didn’t. (Yes, I know the DS was sold here, but just barely, even growing up in Southern California in the sixties and

They put Chrysler engines in them.

Pretty sure louvered is French for corrugated. ;)

This needs to happen. Weird vans with big eyes and whitewalls would make the world a better place.

Don’t know what the Americans do to them, but I don't commonly see either the Fiat or PSA models broken down.

For some reason, that made me look up Corrugated Metal. When it was invented, how it’s made, etc. The wikipedia article has an interesting tidbit:

I’ve heard nothing good about the Promaster van. I guy just replaced my windshield yesterday has a brand new one that’s seriously malfunctioning. He may have to apply the lemon law to replace it. It’s too bad. Though it’s ugly up front, it looks pretty functional and a balanced size VS full size and minivans.

The takeaway... bring back whitewalls.

Find me a company willing to buy some ProMaster City’s to convert that all ready has a customer base for it, and I’ll get them as many as they want 🤣

The only thing that bugs me is that the stock mirrors now look distractingly out of place.

The kit itself was designed as replacement panels that replace the stock pieces, complete with a louvered appearance that mimics the textured sides of the original.

I drive a Promaster for work. It sucks. Really, really sucks. Rather than put lipstick on that pig, they should start over.

Thew food truck kit only works with real French baguette and Roquefort(tm) cheese on offer.

Funky cool.

I prefer the Kei van dressup kits since they are even that much more absurd and goofy given the size. Torch wrote an article on it not too long ago:

What’s the opinion on waste management systems that do the separation for the consumer? When I worked in Irvine, they did not have separate trash and recycle bins. The waste management company separated everything before going to landfill/recycling/etc. I never looked into how efficient they were, but it seemed like

Also: “Let’s see, new muffler bearings and blinker fluid - that’s going to be $2,500. You know...you could trade in the car and put that money towards this brand new model over here...”

Now playing

Mack is doing some very interesting things especially within the Electric LR line, you are spot on perfect for electric application. This week I was just at the Mack Customer Center in Allentown, very impressive, I even made a little video to capture the experience.
