I HAVE WAITED ENTIRELY TO LONG FOR THIS GOON MOVIE TO HAPPEN!!!!! However, I suppose others would disagree. Fine... I will try to keep it together. (I can so relate to my six year old sometimes)

Really hoping "The Fearless Vampire Killers" makes this list. Comedy and horror blended to beautiful perfection. Add the onscreen pairing of the real life doomed couple Roman Polanski (see Rosemary's Baby) and Sharon Tate... tragic and beautiful.

ha ha totally miffed that one up... yes, meant clive barker. Thanks Idaan. hee hee bloody brill.

Oh boy, I can't think of a single sci fi movie I haven't seen... I have got to get out more.

What movies scared us when we where young? What made us afraid of the dark?

two words... THE SHINING. nuff said

Ha! I title that, "Awesomest post ever"! Good one.

Also, the 80's film is called, "John Carpenter's The Thing"

Palmer was the thing, and as for drinking whiskey... No! But a giant spliff is okay. Or toking on a clay pipe. Chariots of the Gods man. They practically own south america!

So... beyond... ready for a RanXerox movie. That vision of the future is so spot on it's thoroughly depressing... and I love it.

As a were-man-bear-pig... I take offense.

had to chuckle when i read "log scene" reminded me of Log Jammers from The Big Lebowski... ahem... yes, yes log scene was very cool. Every scene with Dark Wolf, the Lone Ranger of the Hyborian age, absolutely rocked. Too damn cool.

I gotta say, finally someone realized how ridiculous all previous "space" helmets are. most of the time the vision is completely restricted from several points. Including the one Ripley wears on the escape shuttle. These puppies look completely logical, heck I bet they've got a fancy, shmancy HUD. (why do I have to

Ha! Good one! Yeah, thanks for taking the query as it was intended. With tongue firmly planted in cheek.

yeah... I am so there with you. I can sit through a movie where every human gets slaughtered, then they show a dog getting killed and I lose my mind. Of course, if it was a cat...

#7 looks like it came right off the set of 2001. "open the pod bay doors HAL"

Moi aussi!

No, but I found this booger under my chair. Ew... gross.

So after watching Alien for like, I dunno, the 100th time I started wondering... Why does a mining ship have a self-destruct sequence? And given all of the reasons I came up with on my own, I can except that a large refinery floating through space might pose a danger to some random satellite (man-made or natural).
