Ssssh, just let the white people be offended on your behalf

They use the colonizer term “Latinx cause it sound better to white ears than the Spanish “Latino.” So I doubt they care about Hispanic takes.

Detroit is an awesome game.

Surprised Mafia 3 wasn’t on the list, nothing more fun then killing the shit out of the klan(oh i’m sorry the Southern Union) and white moderates.

Great. They’re irredeemable.
Now what?
Well, we can fire them all and replace them. But since “cops are irredeemable” and no one wants to be nice to them, we’ll still eventually be stuck with a violent cult.

..hold on there with that white people stuff , its more

And yet this article is basically saying all cops suck and Brooklyn 99 needs to change everything about what makes it great because all cops suck and not a single cop is good. Did I mention that all cops suck and this show should reflect that?

Yikes... this is one of the shittiest takes I’ve ever read.

This might be a weird stance but... If you can watch a show with dragons in... or a show with Zombies in... or a show with habitual space travel in... how can you draw a line in the sand about a show that dares to believe a good cop might exist?

Sorry this is going against what you say but you are totally wrong, Pray4Mojo has great points.

Maybe we should Cancel Kotaku.

Are cop shows not allowed levity? I would argue that now is not the right time to have this kind of show but I wouldn’t try to suggest changing the show to take everything seriously or to just change the professions of the characters to something completely different. It sounds like what you’re really trying to

I find it funny that if I say all “person x” are bad because a select number of them have done terrible things, then I’m in the wrong, but the world believes all police are bad because a select number have done terrible things.

What is it with white people and them wanting to cancel stuff that has nothing to do with what’s going on? This is on par with that white girl at Rolling Stone wanting to cancel Olivia Benson (go look at all the comments by black people on that Twitter thread), except dumber because this show is goofy AF. The main

Wanna feel even worse? He gets paid for it. And given the trending topic, he will be paid more than, say, a game review.

But why is this a Kotaku article?

Despite everything, the show refuses to condemn policing as a whole. The system is bad and some cops are bad, it says, but the idea of policing can be redeemed if you just put the right people in charge. The good cops. Many other shows refuse to admit that the system is bad. They’re wrong, but at least they’re

Cool, more cancel culture.

I really feel bad for Nathan. Living in a world, where you want shows to be cancelled, because they bring joy to others’ lives, as they do not reflect the real world, and not everyone on the show is a bad person, but full of positivity. This is why cannot have nice things. Because people, like Nathan.

I keep seeing this argument, and it would fit if any of these characters were bad people...but they aren’t.

“Many episodes only vaguely include police work, or they don’t include it at all.”
