As usual with those cars, the problem remains the same.

Seems like a lot for a little. My run of the mill 08 135 M-sport has about 480 at the flywheel with a tune/intercooler/catless downpipes/intake. And there's plenty left on the table if I go meth. Even with wheel and tire upgrade I still have plenty of cash left . . . to replace injectors, do the walnut blast, replace…
Seriously.
I always think of this guy when I see a Lexus:
This is horrifying.
That's just like my first car exactly!!! Only I had one with black interior, and no car club badge or whatever that one has on the grille. And headlight washers, yes that means with wipers, four of them.
Why stop at the 7? That whole late 90's generation is the best BMW has ever been.
Two things: First of all, the E38 wasn't sheepish or lazy, it was gorgeously subtle or subtly gorgeous. Especially when the facelift came out, which marked my automotive spring. I remember how my eyes feasted on the lines of every passing E38, longing to see if it was a facelift or not (I didn't care about motors back…
I can't even find the star now. You broke it.
I HIT THE STAR ON THIS ONE SO HARD
I think they're working on it. De Nysschen seems to realize it will be an uphill battle and it's going to take some time, but he has a more cohesive plan for it than we've ever seen before. It's a great start. I can certainly see potential in Infiniti.
And guess what? He wants manuals, too. "There are just some things you need to have," and a proper stick shift is one. There isn't one on the Q50 at the moment, but it sounds like adding a manual option to future cars is a priority.
I think a CVT is perfectly fine for daily-driving duties for the masses. But If I am looking for a sporty car, I want a manual.
When I was in school for my auto apprenticeship in 1977, I had a part time job, delivering pizza's. They paid me $4 an hr if I used my car (68 Dart slant six) or I could get $3 an hr if I used their 74 510 wagon, same color as your pic. Since it was winter and if it was snowing, I always used the Datsun 5 speed, doing…
Would buy if manual, would not buy if cvt or otherwise.
Don't get too excited. The press release said the IDx Nismo had a "sport" CVT with "6-speed manual control".
No.
When done right, stance rules...
I traded in my old truck, and drove mine home. Went to park it, and burst out laughing when I got out. I had left 5 feet between the rear of the car and my garage.
More than just that. The original 500 was one of the first true city cars. Super short, super frugal, super easy to drive in the city. It was so good it did the very rare thing of becoming a legend without any sporting pretensions. Think about it, how many vehicles are legendary because of their groundbreaking…
