In order to buy a used Porsche, you either have to make extra money or be a DIY because anyone can afford a used Porsche but not everyone can afford the maintenance and repairs.

A defective new water pump caused the timing belt to snap on an interference engine causing $10000 damage to a Porsche engine. The parts store was liable for the water pump and blamed the mechanic, the mechanic blamed the part.

Most guys with iPhone can't afford cars, gass or nice clothings and brag about apps not girlfriends.

Do you really think the CarMax people are a bunch of idiots losing money by selling warranties on unreliable cars? 2%-5% of Porsche 996-997 have the IMS problem so 95%-98% are safe for CarMax to sell and profitable. Fear mongering sells.

I have a 5 inch dash mounted GPS on my 1986 Porsche for under $100.

According to history, Porsche has the most wins at the 24 hour of LeMans, followed by Audi so that's why Porsche has no problem with lending.

And last but not least driving a 10-15 year old luxury car does not fool the Joneses.

I know a 4 year old who did some hacking to car. Don't know the name or the device he used on the some model car so I didn't write an article about it.

Thanks for the info. I will never ever import a car after reading your article specially for a 25 year old right hand drive car. A used Porsche from the Auto trader will do.

Any repair history? Any car can do 900,000 miles if you keep replacing parts. Cubans been doing it since the revolution.

Every July my French cousin flys to California because he loves to rent a Chrysler 300 and drive it to Vegas.

No way. My cousin has the same car with 190k trying to sell it for over 7 years and he offered it to me for free cause he moved to an apartment. I passed.

707 HP without traction is like buying a 4K TV and receiving 720p or 1080i signal from the network.

The Fiat 500L deserves the electric chair.

I would never drive a right hand car and refuse to accept a free left or right hand Range/Land Rover of any kind.

From my experience it's never a good idea to buy a 10 year or older German luxury used car because after 6 months the fun stops and you end up with costly maintenance and headaches even for a DIY person. Why not rent one for a weekend.

Being a son of a Cardiologist I can tell you that Doctors practice medicine and since we each have different genes there are no universal fit for all cures. So if a vaccine helps over 95% then the FDA gets it approved

If you cross a blowfish with a dragon.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I see a Range Rover driver in Los Angles is, What were you thinking. Unless the dealership is considered off road. I would not trust driving it across the Sahara. The name should be changed to Bend Over.

It's like buying a fake quartz Rolex. My 1986 Porsche 928 32 valve 5 speed has close to 300,000 miles. I'd rather go the electric conversion. Renegade wants to sell kits so they keep bashing the bulletproof Porsche engine. If you can't maintain a Porsche, then get a Chevy.
