Yeah, but nowadays, at least for the A3/A4/A5, the S model seems to just be the up-engined version of the base car. For example, there used to be 2.0t and 3.0/3.2 variants of the A4, in addition to the S4. But the “regular” 6 cylinder A4 is now gone, and the S4 seemingly has taken its place.
