All those people in the post last night saying that this was making Brazil look bad were something else. Yeah, there are certainly issues with police in Brazil, but they’re smart enough to know that you don’t go after famous Americans unless you’re 99 percent sure you’ve got a case.

I drive a Land Cruiser, which replaced a 4Runner. The 4Runner had 65 series tires on a 17" rim. My Land Cruiser has 60 series tires on an 18" rim. Even here in Boston, where roads are full of potholes in the winter, I’ve never blown a tire or bent a rim. I do, of course, have a full size spare.
It might be wasteful. But it wouldn’t bother me if I was in the back of this car and my driver was driving me to my destination.
