I was considering mentioning Star Citizen myself, since they seem to be struggling with the kind of issues that the PS5 seems custom built to solve. I’d love to know what some of the SC devs think about the PS5.

It all comes down to how cheap it is, if they can keep the price a nice amount below the Xbox I think they could do great in the way you described. God help them if it’s more expensive though.

I’m not as sure about that, plenty of games already have ungodly loadtimes on HDDs right now, and all of the technology is moving towards SSDs too. I think the next gen of consoles has a good chance of giving SSDs a massive majority in the gaming market, which could easily turn HDD users into the red headed step child…
