A 600cc Cruiser/Standard bike is a pretty good starter. A 600cc sport bike is something all together different. They are much faster and more powerful.

A lot of cops I have met generally will not ticket someone for lane-splitting in a safe manner if it is in heavy traffic. A lot of bikes on the road are air cooled, so they cannot keep their engines cool if they are sitting on in the sun.
