I was really disappointed by MvC. I think this game puts much more thought into how it represents its comic characters. I've found Harley Quinn, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Firestorm, and Blue Beetle to be a nice counterpoint to this game's more grim moments.

I think a big part of Batman's role is that he gets a lot of fans to read Justice League (he's the only one currently on both of DC's Justice League comics rosters), and then his other role is having the plot warped around him to make him important when standing next to Superman, the Flash, and two Green Lanterns.

I'm at a part in the Story Mode where Batman and the other heroes are going up against robots and few villains, and he makes this big point about "no killing." They're mostly robots! And also like Gorilla Grodd and Deadshot, who are willing to sell out humanity. It was groan inducing.

You can unlock the best costumes (Power Girl, Mr. Freeze Vixen, etc.) by playing the game and choosing to spend the in-game currency earned on them, so it's not random, it's just a commitment (or you could buy them). I like that for my purposes, the game doesn't require me to do anything with the loot system, but the

My problem isn't that he was mind-controlled when he killed Lois and Metropolis (although that's suffocatingly dark for escapist fantasy), it's that he then goes on and becomes a fascist, and kills his allies like Green Arrow and Captain Marvel (who is a kid). And Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman stand by him.

I found some of the combos impossible to pull off, even in the tutorial. Not sure if it's me, the game, or my controller, but not being able to complete some characters' tutorials (while being able to beat Story mode on normal without any real problem) was really discouraging.

Tom Taylor is back, luckily, for the Injustice 2 comic

I like the tie-in comic a lot, but I get hung up about the portrayal of Superman. I know he is an alternate version of him, but the whole conceit of the game is that he is out Superman, except for one tragedy. And I just don't believe one tragedy would turn our Superman into a hero-killing fascist (as Kingdom Come

Oh damn, I was hoping we'd see her one last time

I did appreciate seeing the ginger Pit Crew guy on his knees for the other Pit Crew guy in Trinity, Alexis, and Peppermint's pilot. That's a pilot I'd pick up.

It was weird because he called Colton a p*ssy for not being out, but Colton was out then. If you're going to talk shit, come correct.

Wait, hot men in sweatpants is everything

Also Bale's Batman voice being acceptable

Alternately, two of the most 90s villains in comics.

It's Sony.

Spidey farted in that suit so many times, and now Venom is just wearing it around like a weirdo.

As Bane, he was addicted to venom. This seems like the logical next step.

Yeah but this won't even feature Spider-Man.

He is certainly cooler than Carnage. Just a skinny, ginger, redneck, psycho Venom. Who will likely be in the sequel of this, assuming this movie ever actually gets made.

We live in a world that thinks Nikki Haley is more fit than Wonder Woman.
