I could've SWORN there is something behind that tree!

Well said Rup!

FREE!?? really?? my son today enjoys "Little Big Planet 2" for the PS3 with the similar concept of building worlds and inviting others to play it and rated. However is pretty limited to what you can do.

Nintendo is benching for the 1st half...maybe the last haft too! FOREVER! YEAH...Maybe forever! lol

Gam-er: /ˈgāmər/ Noun A person who plays a game or games, typically a participant in a computer or role-playing game.

Definitely, I totally respect someone that can stand their ground and at the same time be open minded (I try to be this way...and LOL! Don't be so hard on yourself. I see you more as a realistic...someone in between optimistic and pessimistic. And I think this is what everyone should strive to be at.

Nothing wrong with being a fangirl at all! hey..by all means Stand for something or fall for anything!

Yeah...they are aiming in creating a complete new industry for themselves (a version of their OS industry perhaps?!) I feel they will fix stuff before it gets out of hand for them. Above all, they are in it for the money and if they see that their original ideas are not bringing happiness to their bank accounts then

But I got to say I respect your point of view.

There is always a first time and the courages souls that dare! is that how that quotes goes? lol...any how, I'm not getting pay by them or getting a FREE XB1 for this debate (nice chat by the way!) and I bet you neither!

I totally agree with you. They are definitely not amying to get the entire network up and running without any issues, I don't know of many (or any) enterprise that was looking to introduce a change of this magnitude and not run into issues; it would be unrealistic to think that. I do believe data center gaming or

Do you know that the average speeds for the US is 7.4Mbps? and that all major internet providers are running their backbones on 10GBs links? the fastest available. How much computing power do you suppost Game Clouding will need for the xBox! or PS4 for that matter? based on your allegations what speeds do end-users

The average internet download speeds for the US is 7.4Mbps and the rest of the world is 2.9Mbps. I do not see it - efficiently - being implemented in the rest of the world as you said, I agree. Now the US, we are ready...We have been ready. Corporate america has been using clouding for years now.

PEOPLE - At the end of the day both companies are in the gaming market to make money. Period. There approach to it is different at this point in the race. However be sure that they WILL have to cater to what their followers want.

Ok...so what makes 5 - 10 years much closer to happening than today? just curious...

All I'm saying is that the implementation of a Data Center for gaming or Clouding is the near future, it's the next step in technology. Of course, like any new concept it has its positive and negative implications.

Hey I asked you a simple question, not for you to get all Microsoft on me! lol. I come from a IT background that's why I asked (I though you knew something I didn't IT-wise and I wanted to know)

I don't think internet speeds or useability is the issue given that the USA internet speed average is 7.4Mbps and the rest of the world is 2.9Mbps. I rather think MS is cattering to their 70 million xBox live users with these innitiaves and like you are saying, leaving the rest to burn.

Remember that the average internet speeds in the US is 7.4Mbps and the rest of the world is 2.9Mbps. Technologically speaking we will always move forward. Period.

What technical facts are you basing this on?
