Look up and see where NIH spends its funds...for example, cancer is number 4. Also there are a lot of major organizations raising funds for cancer. Alzheimer’s is very far down the list, I believe 39 (if I counted right).

The Alzheimer’s Association is an excellent choice. Most of the research is funded by the government by the NIH. However, more funds need to be directed towards research, it lags far too behind cancer.
