I hate to say that it’s a situation where they need to “get a life,” but I think it’s a situation where they need to get a life.

It’s incredibly bizarre to me how many people are actually defending this. People on twitter and reddit just keep saying “git gud” when someone brings it up. No one is asking for a quick save so you can reload when something goes wrong or anything, just a way to be able to take a break without fear of losing a bunch

I’ll go one further and say that DA2, flaws and all, is the best Dragon Age game. Part of that is because the other two are also extremely flawed games, even if people don’t want to admit it or those flaws didn’t bother them for whatever reason. But I feel like everything I love in Bioware games - deep, interesting

This is an amazing feat, and as somone who hasn’t played Dreams I’m not sure of its limitations but I’m sure being familiar with it would make this all the more impressive.

As an older(?) gamer who got into Fortnite for a year or so, I don’t think even Epic cares about the ongoing story. It’s kind of like a Smash Bros. story mode, just the barest sliver of narrative to enable them to bring in a bunch of weird designs and crossovers.

It’s not a personal attack bro, but when you describe people being held accountable for their actions as all this cancel culture shenanigans” you sound like a detractor, and I’m afraid it does suggest something about you.

I guess there’s enough blood from the sweatshop workers in their shoes already.

I really liked Vinland as well, just did that yesterday. The lack of million things on the map was refreshing.

Absolutely. AC Brotherhood was like 30 hours to fully complete and it’s one of the best in the series. And it ran pretty cleanly iirc.

Oh, I disagree. I mean, you’re right that the stories aren’t quite right when played in this way - the climax is always hidden behind a raid or whatever - but ultimately the goofy story of an endless space war is way more interesting than endgame grind.

I’ve said it before but I will treat this game exactly like Destiny: a game I only play once I can get it for $5 or less and then my only plan is to play through the story mode. If I play some multiplayer or do some grinding as well then hey, sounds good, but it’s almost certainly not gonna be worth the effort.

Saying this as someone who liked the game at launch and wants it to succeed:

Boy, that escalated slowly.

Skyward Sword summarized:

God this. Why did they remove these features from Valhalla. They were both such great quality of life adjustments. I started off with this Raven Clan armour and fully upgraded and no other armour gives me a perk I like better. So now the whole game I have to play this one armour type. Do I need to switch to a

If you haven’t seen it yet, check him out in “Prospect”, a great indie film on netflix. Lots of stubborn dad vibes in that.

gamers not understanding that publishers =/= development studios AND that development studios =/= certain people and teams drives me absolutely fkin crazy

In middle and early high school, my friend and I used to walk around town literally scraping change out from under vending machines to get enough money to rent a game for a night at our local video store. I’m not sure how we got so lucky, but as long as we didn’t do it too frequently (gotta let the change replenish)

The NYT, and these parents, need to mind their own fucking business. Whenever I hear parents talking about how their kids need to play less games or spend less time on the computer, THIS is what I think of:
