This! It was always a roll of the dice if the manual would be included in a Blockbuster rental. I remember loving the look of this game, but not getting far in my rental period because I was just guessing at the controls.

Not related to Soulsborn games I guess, but anyone else tweak difficulty just to avoid engaging with certain mechanics in a game?

That’s true, part of what made AC Brotherhood so good was the advancements it made to AC2, which was already a huge leap over the original. Open world games have certainly come a long way since then, actually giving you reasons to collect and explore. I still think that doesn’t change the fact that Valhalla just has a

I feel like my play clock was in the 30s, but I can’t check now because my kids have put in a bazillion more hours since then just swinging around.

First, I don’t 100% games ever (with the exception of Spider-Man, because I was playing that with my kids). I did not even come close to 100 percenting Valhalla. So no entitlement here. I just play the story, do some side stuff and keep rolling.

Yeah if this is the size of one of Valhalla’s DLC expansions, that would be ideal. The maps were smaller in those and they didn’t overstay their welcome...though I still didn’t fully finish the second DLC, because by that point the game as a whole had overstayed its welcome—I’d already played like 120 hours just to

Heh, of course it’s in the excerpt from the outlet I usually skip over. Thanks.

Anyone know if this bundles in the Left Behind DLC? Like not as a separate thing, but rather bake it into the full game? I know it’s supposed to slot in during the main story (with flashbacks to Ellie’s past) when Joel is unavailable, but I’m not sure how that would impact the pacing.

As others have pointed out, reducing piracy does not automatically increase sales, as people willing to jump through the hoops of pirating modern games probably weren’t going to buy anyway.

I think this is the problem with the term, it’s so broad! You’re not saying anything I disagree with. Before it became a popular word, I always thought of shows like The Office as cringe comedy. The humor comes from situations that are so cringe-inducing you can’t help but laugh. I think that kind of cringe can be

It wasn’t even quips so much as it is the limited vocal range of Roiland. He’s like H. Jon Benjamin in that he’s basically got one voice and it’s super recognizable (although Benjamin does do some silly stuff with his voice playing tertiary characters on Bob’s Burgers). Unlike Benjamin, that one voice is grating to

Yeah I enjoyed Cowboy Bebop too, because I approached it as “This is not the anime.” I do wish they focused a little less on Vicious, but it felt like a show that would probably really find its legs in a second season...and then it didn’t.

This is exactly what I like most about Game Pass. It’s for all the games I might want to try, but aren’t sure about outright buying. The gameplay in this seems weird and fun, but I’ve long since lost patience with Kojima’s storytelling. Now I can try it out!

Pinning to home is great when you share an Xbox with your children, and it’s summer vacation so they play like 12 different games throughout the day because they are bored and it clears your game off the home page.

It truly is and I love it. I played this morning and in the waiting area before the match I saw two Gokus dance together, Indiana Jones shoot a shotgun at Groot, and Raven from Teen Titans scale a building, all while I bounced on a pogo stick as a ghostbuster.

I’d give Hades a try, it’s got some accessibility features that you can use to make yourself more powerful, and the story and characters (and beautiful art) are super interesting. There’s always something new to learn from the colorful cast after you die. Also the combat rips, I loved using that dang shield.

Oh yeah I’m totally gonna grab that Uncharted collection when it comes out, just to play UC4 and Lost Legacy again with WeMod support. I did that with God of War, upping my damage and giving me all the crafting materials I could ever need so I could just play through the story again (with a very light amount of combat

Any other PC players out there buy a game you might have purchased on a console just so you have it on PC?

I just got a new phone and the first thing I did was head to the Google Play store and redownload Poinpy. I was disappointed to find out my progress didn’t carry over (Netflix says your stuff is saved to your account), but that’s okay, because I love Poinpy enough to start over.

Infinite Warfare is my favorite CoD game. I was (and still am) over military shooters, they do nothing for me. Haven’t picked one up since maybe Modern Warfare 2 (the first one). I played a few hours of the The Division 2, but eventually bounced off that as well. I can only take so much tactical gear and military
