I’ve played Fortnite since it launched off and on, and then consistently (meaning I level up the battlepass and then stop) since 2019. Then in 2020 I let my kids start playing, and they are obsessed. But the skins are only a small part of it. They are all about the emotes.

Well this looks rad. I appreciate studios that use pixel art in cinematics like that. Blasphemous did that too and it looked incredible, and also very creepy.

Yeah, look at these comparisons from howlongtobeat.com. It’s wild. I could run through the main story of AC: Brotherhood three times before finishing Valhalla’s main quest!

Behold, my Witcher 3 saves.

I recently jumped back into this game after completing the main story so I could hunt down all the Order of the Ancients. One of them sends you to a new map, Vinland. At first I was like, “Really AC? ANOTHER new map? On top of Norway and Asgard?”

Oh yeah it’s not great! It didn’t bother me as much in BOTW because weapons were literally everywhere and you didn’t have to craft them. Dying Light asks you to find weapon blueprints, craft weapons with different rarity tiers...and then they still break. No thanks. Just like Witcher 3, I found an unlimited weapon

I really liked the traversal, and once I installed a mod that kept my weapons from breaking, I had a lot of fun. It’s weird to look back at it now as it’s tied to a stressful season of life for me. Drop kicking zombies off balconies was really cathartic, and sinking into the groove of running and grappling around the

There are so many holes in my Zelda experience because I didn’t own or have access to the system certain games were on (my family went with Sega, then Sony in the console wars of the late 90s/early 2000s). I did happen to have a GBA when this game came out, and I loved it. Partly because the sprite work is wonderful,

I got this for my son for Christmas and was just gonna run through the story with his higher level characters at some point. I had no idea that wasn’t even possible. I wonder if I’ll still get the cutscenes, or if it’s just a replay of the missions.

I remember that Ubisoft TMNT game from the Xbox 360 days being pretty decent. Mechanically it felt like playing Prince of Persia with a coat of TMNT paint. Brawlers are fun, but they wear out their welcome pretty quickly.

Two Hawkeyes as their first post-release characters is bonkers. Clearly things have not gone as they had expected. This game likely would have benefitted from a delay to early 2021.

I’m the same. I put maybe 22 hours into each Destiny game and was super satisfied with my time. Those games play great! But there are lots of other games I want to play and I didn’t love either one enough to keep repeating missions forever. I jumped back in recently when Beyond Light came to Game Pass and was super

He’s aware, it’s just that my other son’s account is on the Xbox, and my account is on the Switch/PC. Signing out and back in on systems (aside from on PC) is a hassle.

We have a “fun room” for our kids where I hooked up our systems to two older TVs we had (a 40 inch and a 26 inch). The PS4 got a lot of play, but that’s just because that’s where my oldest son’s Fortnite account lives. Aside from Fortnite on PS4, all their favorite games are on Xbox, mostly thanks to Game Pass and

This was like every game from that time. Darksiders 2 came out the year after this I think and I never finished it for this exact reason. Although I thought it was even worse there because the main character would comment on how annoying it was that he had to run so many errands.

Ehh, while they didn’t set the world on fire in terms of popularity, I’d argue (as would many others) that the cameras in the Pixel phones are among the best in the business. The elevation of their camera game was really over the last three or four years, so that’s close. But still...your point stands.

You’re not wrong! That was actually cool. Also, I think I might have been the only person in the world to use their “second screen experience.” Remember when those were a thing? With Black Flag you could essentially use your phone as your mini map. I had a phone holder right under my monitor and used that to check on

Raids, just like the big battles of Odyssey, are those “I’ll do it only when I have to” activities that are a staple of Assassin’s Creed games. You’ve got:

Oh the bow one is the worst. They had that solved back in Origins! I rarely swap off the hunter’s bow just because I don’t feel like going in to the menu just to fire two shots.

Came here to say this. He’s great in Prospect and it’s got a very post apocalyptic vibe.
