@Axel-the-482nd: No kidding eh.
Well I was thinking about buying an iPod touch, but if Apple throws in that kill switch I sure won't be buying Apple.
Here's a favorite recipe of mine:
@battra92: Jesus, nothing like being accused of doing something you aren't doing eh?
@cc: I will need to see a graph to properly understand this concept.
@helixjo1: "I'm sure MS is good for some people and Google Docs suits others, it really depends what you need it for. "
@ffejie: I only use Open Office. For general day to day office use I have no problem using Microsoft Office (like when I use the computer lab at university instead of my laptop).
@Axel-the-482nd: Bingo! Hearted. Even if it doesn't work, you truly deserve your star for such a truly lifehacker themed comment.
@Ucla74: Opinionated comments do not by themselves stand as fact.
@cc: "Students, especially those planning to remain in academia"
@cc: Wait... I thought engineers are real nerds.
@Brad: @TomXP411: @MaxellDVD1: Open Office has come a long long way. I haven't used Microsoft Office in eons and I've had to use macros and haven't had a problem with the latest version of Open Office.
This and many other articles are why I read Lifehacker every day.
George Carlin FTW.

@Cory Gross: Yes there are some banner ads on websites and they are annoying. I agree.
It's a me, Muro!
