yeah. Just like ID4 2, except better reviewed and making more money.

Yes. Its completely stand alone

Agreed mostly. Although it is worth noting that Ghostbusters will almost certainly be Sony’s biggest movie this year. So they might end up throwing some of the Spidey money they are going to make at it and keeping the budget around where it is.

MIKE HAT!

Wait. I saw it on Friday and laughed the whole time, but now that I know that none of them have penises I’m not sure if it is any good anymore. My gut is telling me it must be a garbage fire

It’s ok, just go see Ghostbusters next weekend and the Matriarchy will let you get away with only one demerit on your permanent record

Sony is optimistic about this because they are Sony. They’re currently a struggling studio unaccustomed to major hits, so for them this is pretty decent numbers. The movie is well reviewed and had the 9th best opening of the year so far and the best for Sony in 2016. It also had a better opening than Mad Max: Fury

It’s also worth noting that Sony is struggling in general. Of the major Hollywood studios, Sony is the least profitable. The upcoming Spidey movie will probably help a lot, but they don’t get a lot of big hits. The best thing they’ve got going is the Bond franchise, which is pretty middling at the box office for

Fair point.

I wouldn’t mind if they followed up on it, but they’d need to put their own spin on it. I agree we don’t need a plot point by plot point retelling of that story, but I see no problem with integrating some of that stuff into a new storyline

might want to throw a spoiler alert in there friend

yep

The logical thing for Sony to do here is to see if they can get a sequel made for a smaller budget. Sony has been desperately trying to get some action summer franchise going for years and while their new Spider-Man will probably be a hit, Ghostbusters had one of the most successful opening weekends in terms of summer

Sure you didn’t accidentally walk into The Legend of Tarzan or something? Cause there was actual applause in the theater after the credits started to roll where I was

I never comprehended just how that interpretation somehow became “true” in the eyes of the fans

it’s pretty damn clear Batman kills Joker at the end.

I agree with you completely. Killing Joke was pretty unique at its time for the way in which it pushed boundaries of violence in comics. Outside of that, it is a fairly unremarkable quick little story by a talented writer and a talented (if unfortunatley slow working, real shame about how Camelot 3000 turned out) artis

I don’t know why we need this article. There’s already been a successful series of films that provide a historically accurate glimpse into the culture, traditions and lifestyles of ninjas that I’m willing to bet the vast majority of your readers have seen. I of course speak of 3 Ninjas, 3 Ninjas Kick Back, 3 Ninjas

You’re right. That one critic review totally invalidates the majority of other ones, which are positive.

Seriously?
